That last guy that stopped the oil thieves was a legend. He stopped them and literally didn’t care about his car if it meant doing the right thing. Also taught his kid to stand up for what’s right. I love how he trapped the thieves too. 👍

I felt that although it was courageous, it was very stupid, considering that he went the opposite way of traffic for half of it, mashed up his car and put the life of his child in danger. I’m not on the thieves’ side but it would have been better to just let them go through with it rather than all of that?

I think it's more like fuel out of the side tanks. The oil pan is under the truck, and why would you steal used motor oil.. the fuel tank is easily accessible and has something worth stealing. They said oil but as they say, something was lost in translation.

After ONE HUNDRED charges he gets 6 months in jail? He ended up getting 8 months. not much. he could have killed someone. Then again, he didn't end up hurting anyone so i get why they sentenced him that. Also, with that on his record the rest of his life just got a lot harder.

so let's get this straight, he sees a guy who he THINKS is stealing, cannot say for sure because there's no way he can see whether any fluid is actually being taken out but it has the outward semblance of some stealing maybe possibly going on, and so he proceeds to do several REAL and RECORDED crimes that are plain for anyone to see, including assault the perceived thief, harass and intimidate him with a deadly weapon, vandalize his vehicle etc ... and he's a ... hero? 🤷♂️

That said, where I live the guy filming wouldve gotten into bigger trouble than the thief for several reasons (including intentionally endangering his child in the action).

The thing is, because I dont think the two cars collided at all, the other person probably either drove off and if they didn't, probably won't face any harsh punishment. Cop might give them a ticket from the dashcam video which they definitely deserve.

Allow a government to turn a blind eye to property crime, and you guarantee the formation of a ghetto or a gang-control mentality. The drug cartels have created just such a sub-standard society in northern Mexico, and the gangs and thugs have done as much in urban US areas where police only respond to shootings, leaving citizens at the mercy of vandals and thieves. The result is the middle and upper classes flee, businesses close and leave, and the poor remain with ever increasing crime, often paying protection to get what little they can get. It's a recipe for rot.

That's our Australian "justice" system for you. He could have killed numerous people and faces 45 charges and gets let out on bail. Then 100 charges and faces only 6 months jail time. But a friend of mine got busted with 7 marijuana plants and he got 2 years. It's absolutely disgusting

I'm not a proponent of drug use by any means, but there's got a be a little perspective. Violent crime and endangering the public, "well it could have been worse." Catch a guy with some dope, "we're gonna put you away for a LONG time, son!" If you don't cut off a rapist's junk, you shouldn't be able to lock up a drug user for more than 2 hours. That's how they compare in my mind.
