Whoever was responsible for the camera coverage did not know what the hell he was doing. You supposed to show the game not A FUCKING CLOSE UP OF THE PLAYERS!

I love old mtg play. the problem is that the video quality is so poor that you can't even see the cards and if you miss just a single one of them you just don't understand anything at all

Actually, everyone was playing with sleeves back then. But Wizards told the top8 players to play without them because of the glare. Cameras back then had problems picking up images from the glaring sleeved cards.

Good work on Paquette's part, wearing matching tracksuits to the finals of worlds. If i ever made it anywhere with mtg, I would definitely be rocking the matching adidas too.

I think they had them remove the sleeves due to the glare from the lights and how the cards wouldn't be visible for the cameras.

Actually, everybody was playing sleeves back then. Those two were playing without them because the sleeves would interfer with the cameras. Glaring and stuff.

Excellent, and yes, no sleeves needed even if it costs money :p That how i played on last previous Born of The Gods "avant-première" and in a two-headed Troll on this extension.
