Getting 60-70mph on the cheap is easily doable. A 100mph on the cheap.....haha, maybe not so cheap. Amazing how much goes wrong with trying to get these high mph's, so very grateful to get watch you guys go after the improbable, and achieve! Well, not this time, but its coming, lol!

Try the Racerstar 120A esc from banggood. It's relatively cheap and I run it in my slash 4x4 with no issues. It can run up to 6s.

It’s the motor kev, it’s only a 4s motor I had the same problem with mine when the motor reaches max rpm it stutters and just slowers and smokes

I wish drone were more like RC cars... You can really push the limits on RC car escs. If u put anything even a volt over on a drone it's game over. Good luck getting to 100mph with project dirt cheap, it will look hilarious seeing that tiny thing roaring across the floor!

Up for a challenge Kevin? Try to break 100mph+ on loose dirt with an offroad vehicle of your choice. The run has to be done in loose dirt & a clean run & anything else goes. No one "ever" has done it yet on KZfaq or posted video online to prove it.

You should get the vikye 120a brushless esc it can handle 24 volts and 6s and it is $90usd

you can take a 150a surpass hobby esc its dirt cheap and not that bad

i've done 68 mph on 2S in my 124019. Running a cheap 6.5t ruddog motor and a Quicrun 120a ESC. Converted to 32p gearing with a UDR 34t pinion as a spur and a 22t traxxas pinion. You dont need anymore than 3S to do 100+ in these cars, just need a fast motor. I'm pretty confident 100mph is possible on 2S with a ~3.5t drag motor.

They're great quality ESC's too, I've owned 5 of them across all platforms!! Rc Cars, Planes, Helicopters!! It will EASILY get that tiny car past 100mph!! Fit a stupidly huge pinion gear, you wont have to worry about overheating problems with huge pinion cos this esc is rated at 150 Amps so it'll just chew up the amp loads and smile broadly as it does so!! lol. you should use the RacerStar 120amp esc for this car, ITS IS THE BEST ESC for $40 EVER, Ive had it on my 1/8 buggy for 2-3 years and it is performing better than $100 and $200 esc, no joke, it is GOOD ESC

Kevin don't do the Mamba X system with a non-castle motor, this is not a joke. The esc's only like castle motors for some reason. It's the reason your last one blew up. I'm not joking man!

The surpass hobby 75$ Canadian 150 amp. Best paired with 2000-2500 kv motors. Pushes my 15 tooth pinion outcast to 50-55mph. The Arrma blx esc gets 55-60 mph for 170$canadian. I would buy the combo with the motor so no BS
