I can’t exaggerate about your achievement on this shrimp boat. It’s amazing I just built the exact boat other than the lipo, and the prop. I had to run the vant 4s 1300 it’s all I had that would fit supposed to be 120 c ha ha. Also I ran a 3816 cnc Only got 95 kmh so just under 60 mph . I am a long way from 85 You are the man.

Shout out to speltrum radio. I threw my boat in big b style and it caught the lanyard on my transmitter and in goes the transmitter. It quickly sank to the bottom of the lake. I paid a kid to dive down and get it for me and took it home. I took it apart and dried it with a towel and set it in front of a fan for a couple hours. Put back together and it works perfect. You get what you pay for.

Thank goodness you recovered the transmitter, I've done the same thing a few times, was only under wayer for a few seconds though.. I lightly and carefully treated mine with corrosion X

Lol, I dropped my DX5C in the bath tub, and same thing. Let it dry out and still works perfectly 5 years later! Love my Spektrum electronics💯

when i wanted more revs , i used to weigh every nut and bolt and get the file out . There is a couple of grammes of unwanted ali hanging off that transom . ( come on 100 mph ) Not joking

Did i notice some competition going on...? 😂 Btw, most off your pb's are do to your own engineering and tweeking. For instance, i would have liked to beat your pb with my dom (also has different setup) but it can't be done with my current prop. That would mean i would need another style prop or a prepped prop. Don't want another style prop since it runs well, and feel like a prepped one is cheating/not the same so im ok with it. It's still super fast and also gets a lot off attention and people start talking to you about it which is also fun...

I feel ya on the cheating part of the prop side of the hobby, I'm actually seriously thinking about ordering my first set of dasboata props. I really enjoy preparing my own, but I doubt any of my props will keep up with a true race prepared prop from an expert. The thing about buying a race prepared prop is the fact there's no learning curve, you get what you get and that's it. Hope all has been well, havnt herd from you in a while.

@@IRONCLADRC yes, all ok. Still watch most video's and give thumps up. Just being busy with gardening and building small patio (glued some tiles today) and did some tuning on 2 rc cars we ran last week for first time this year. Did run Dom once some weeks ago to test the bottom, and sanded that down because it didn't bring anything. Did start a small change to spray rail to test but not finished yet. Twin build is at a stand still too, but in a few weeks there will be some more spare time to work on the boats and hopefully also nicer weather. Its one off the wettest years ever measured.

I've got plenty of props to try! I'm so new to riggers I'll be happy with 75 on 4s. I got 57 on 3s with a fin, how fast is yours on 3s? Same 3816 prop

To be honest, I never really gps tested my speed on 3s. I basically only run 3s in oval trim. If I had to guess high 50's. You'll get your target speed, If I can help, let me know PM me on fb

Hey I am new to the RC hobby and I'm confused because online it says the motor your using has a max amps of 150 but the esc you are using is a 90 amp one. How does this work? Thanks

Well for one it's a rigger style hull, with very little hydrodynamic drag, and I use specific props (smaller) props cut down to reduce load. Plus this flycolor is 90 continuous with a burst of like 450a for a few seconds.. I don't know man it just works
