Wide Open Design has built possibly the first Tube Chassis Jeep JL that is out there and it’s awesome. They started with a brand new Jeep JL, tore the whole thing apart, and put it back together using a typical builder’s wish list of parts. The spec list of all that was used is below.

Nice jeep! I can't wait to build a tube chassis.Finally got everything to do it now except the time. Think I will start with a single seater buggy build then go from there.

Absolutely gorgeous build! How many soccer moms tried to buy it off you because it's more expensive than a Rubicon and nobody else has one? Because they really want to show off when they go to the mall or the office

I built my all tube jeep in the mid 90s using a bobbed cj5 body, I still have it. Happy Thanksgiving from an old choctaw/cherokee

Sooo . . . basically it only has the JL body panels and nothing else. Don't get me wrong, it looks amazingly capable, but essentially nothing is from the original JLWrangler.

That JL is definitely not a go fast rig, but built for show and street. I guess for rock crawling, but nothing fast or high flying. Looks great though!

@@joshwebster8334 I'm sure it'll do alright in the whoops for the average Joe, but it has no bump stops. Yes you can valve the bypasses to help with that, but I would expect more from this caliber of build.
