His books feel so intimidating, but watercolor pencils really seem to make them much easier to deal with. What a great picture,

I bought my mythomorphia coloring book 3 years ago and I've only finished 2 and a half pictures (4 and a half pages total) What I learned the hard way is that colored pencils take For. Ev. Er. (I use Polychromos). When a piece is done though, it's amazing. I came across this video because I just started dabbling in watercolor pencils, and I wanted to know if watercolor would mess up the pages on the back, if there was warping of the paper... I don't want to find out the hard way lol. I might have to though. Good luck on your coloring journey!

I think the absolute pinnacle of colourists is Chris Cheng, but Julie is my next favourite and I watch her all the time, far more than Chris.

Hi Julie, so beautiful ! Are arteza pencils so good as derwent inktense ? I would like to by some pencils but I don't know how to chose. I just know that arteza pencils are cheaper than the others. Thank you for your advice ! 😁

Arteza are very good watercolor pencils, inktense aren’t really watercolor pencils, they are inkbased and when dry they are permanent so not comparable... but Arteza are very good watercolor pencils to start with 😊👍🏼

This is my first video of yours. Did your pages buckle, warp, or pill up at all? Are you still able to color on the back of the pages? Are you able to watercolor on both sides or would you recommend colored pencil on one side and watercolor pencil on the other? I'm afraid to try watercolor pencil on my mythomorphia coloring book. Thank you!

Paper does buckle a bit I wouldn't do both Sides like this but still you can color the other side with pencils

What do you do with all you finished pages? Do you have some framed?

Was this on the page from the book or was the image scanned and printed on watercolor paper? What a great idea for these somewhat intimidating Kirby books.

Non watercolor : prismacolor and Arteza Watercolor: Faber Castell, Arteza and derwent inktense (inkbased and permanent)
