In this video I demo the 53mm black coated dart points that I bought on Amazon USA. It's hard finding longer points that are coated. Nost really long points that I've seen are silver. Anyway, enjoy the video!

Man, that brings me back…. We had a guy that played in league that had already long barreled darts with the longest points he could get with like extra long stems. He literally was throwing like a 9” long dart. He was pretty accurate as well with them but it was the most ridiculous looking set up anyone had seen. I tried my damndest to throw them but they basically hit the board damn near sideways every time!🤣🤣

Worldwide; great review. I didn't order the 53 mm points, but I did get 3 sets of the black 43 mm points. I've been looking for black points over 32mm and these fit the bill. Thx and keep the reviews rolling.

I’ve got several sets of these points. I am currently trying them out in some Ryan Searle 26gm darts. I figured that since they have the fat barrels it would help to get tighter groups with them.

That’s something I would like to try. Maybe on a short fat barrel like the RD Delta ones I have even when they are 51 instead of 53mm. Good vid like always keep up the good job.

Thanks for this quick new video. Still can't find 38mm or 40mm black tips for my Harrow. Seems to be sold out on all sites. Seeing you throw those 53mm is very interesting. Those sink in deep.

@@stephenscarff471 you bet. I purchased the 41mm and 35mm. Didn't see 38mm black. That's the next size to find and try. 35mm might be too short.

I use black points as well, but have a question: when you sharpen the top 5-10 mm or so of the point, does it negate the effect of the coating the first time you sharpen them? How do you handle maintenance? The coating off some of my older ones is off on I think everything that goes physically into the board, but for some reason I swear they still stick better than silver points.

I have never sharpened a set of points in my life. Sharp points will ruin a board quicker and you'll get a TON more bounce outs with sharp points. These points were pretty sharp and I took one of those round stones to try and de-sharpen them after the video was over. The only maintenance I've ever done with points is to remove the occasional burr. But as to actually make a point sharp, I would never do that

Great video. Yes I would also like to see a best of 5 with these points. I have these points also in a few sets of my darts. I own a Blade 5 and yes I do get bounce outs. Probably as mentioned due to being sharp. I agree they should be blunted.

Yep, after the video I tried to make these things less sharp as they were catching up on the spider a few times. You can hear them hit the wire on the second dart of the boom throw. Sharp points will kill a board quick.

Hello Mr Worldwide, I have taken up darts in the last couple of months and I’m getting better (still not had my first 180 yet) but I’m looking to repoint my darts as want longer points, what points would you recommend?

I would start small and see how it goes. Any 35mm points would work well. Head over to Darts Corner, Double Top Darts or Dartshopper and have a look.

I'd love to see a best-of-five with these! Is there a chance we'll have some matchday mondays back in the future? I know your biceps are tired from your new training programme, but it may be a good way to get used to throwing with tense biceps. Maybe a shorter format than the best-of-nine that was previously done?

Not all points fit in all barrels, correct? So if they are a little loose, do you just put a dab of super glue on them? I think you said that in another video. Looking to create my own Frankendarts out of these and some Red Dragon barrels.

Yeah, there's a few barrels that have slightly different point holes. Cosmo comes to mind. They seem to be a bit smaller than normal. The majority of them are the same though.

Long points effect the stability of the dart through the air in my experience, anything above 38 mm is too much. 38 mm great.

I had to switch up my grip a bit with these points but they flew really nice.

But it really depends on the weight and length of the dart. You can't just say 38mm is too much. Do you have just one set of darts? I always customize my darts for the specific length of points I want.

No. I use 41mm points and playing the best darts I ever had. Best thing I did was switch to long points.

I’ve been throwing Black Thorobred Longs (45mm?) for several years with a center balanced barrel 22g. The ability to move a few inches left or right and throw at the same target I’d amazing if you have a consistent, repeatable throw. The point length should not dramatically change your dart path. If you throw a dart that fishtails or wobbles a little you will have more movement of the tip of the dart the longer the point is. Learning to throw my darts in a flatter trajectory takes almost all of the wobble out, resulting in tighter groups and very few bounce outs.

DO NOT BUY THESE POINTS. I bought those points on Amazon and they are pure garbage. Bounce out after bounce out on a new Blade 6 TC.

Sharp points will do that. I got my first bounce out on my Bull's board. Best bet is to take one of those burr remover things and make the points less sharp. Give them a rounded point sort of like a Target Storm point. But yeah, sharp points suck

@@WorldwideDarts I prefer the Unicorn points due to the profile they have, I will have to try a burr remover on the Winmau points I have. Good information thx
