The Gibbon Experience takes place in Nam Kan National Park, located in western Laos near the border with Thailand. This mountainous region covers 1360 square kilometers of pristine forest and is home to rare wildlife as well as Laos’s biggest tree.
The Gibbon Experience is a tourism-based conservation program, consisting of canopy set-ups in the park with incredible treehouses and ziplines. Established in 1996, the project's mission is to protect the forest from illegal logging and other land mismanagement practices. Additionally, many people in the area make a living from participating in the project. By doing The Gibbon Experience, you are helping to protect the National Park and supporting the livelihood of these communities.

when did you do this tour? (wondering climate wise whether to aim for Jan or end of June)

We did this mid-November. Jan would be dry and have cooler nights. June would be the start of the rainy season so trails might be a lot muddier

We’ve just done this tour in the same treehouse! Now in March is towards the end of dry season so no mud or rain at all, don’t even need hiking boots, sneakers would be fine. Wish I hadn’t lugged my hiking ones along! Also I would add that you don’t need to bring shampoo either as they provide jungle friendly wash options up there! And binoculars are in the treehouse you can bring along as well and share with the group! I think you’ve made an excellent video - I would say maybe a bit TOO excellent as you’ve left nothing to be surprised by. I would’ve been a little upset if I’d seen this before our tour as I don’t like to know EXACTLY what I’m getting, just the essentials! Maybe cut out the fact that you get to visit the other treehouses and some of the views like from the shower and such. Just a suggestion for future vids! Otherwise great summation!!!

@@worldwildhearts that's completely true bit is always nice while watching the video to have an idea of how much it cost at the time. As it tells you if it is something that could be at your reach financially or completely out of your financial level

Yes I understand! It was €325 per person for the total of 3 days, including transportation, meals, guides, and the accommodation in the tree house.

We don't edit any colors on our videos! But I can imagine that the time of the year might affect the prettiness. We went at the end of the raining season so everything was lush and green!
