Worms in intestines. Deworming-is it important? When to give?

Many parents are concerned about worms in their kids intestines, and often are worried if it is causing anemia, poor appetite, abdominal pain and other concerns-like itching in anal area, restless sleep etc. Where the population incidence is high, regular deworming can be considered or where there are symptoms that can be attributed to the same. Do review and share.

Hello, my son is 2.5 and had belly issues for 8 months or more. He has been tested for anemia/celiacs disease and it is all negative. He is always bloated and constipated . With frequent skid marks “poop smear” about 10 times a day. But no full bowel movements. Even a gluten free diet hasn’t helped. Could this be worms? THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME

I am not sure about the brand where you live but Albenadazole 400 mg once now and repeat after 2-3 weeks (same for all)

Yes, it is quite safe. Mebendazole can be used as well with a 3 day course

@@SridharKs not all have efficiency. Fenbendazole, being used in animal parasitical removers, is popular and the human version is expensive and has been known to have hair falling out issues so Fenbendazole is what so many are claiming results with and with HUGE HOARDS of worms, nests, etc, for days but it's hard to find a brand that does not have fillers, is quality ingredients and then DOSAGE. Most made for humans takes out FEW PARASITES/worms, etc. BRANDS that you find helpful would help us all...or what to look for.

There might be a carrier in family or friends. You need to treat all who handle food, and enforce strict washing of hands and raw foods too

Hi, worm infestation usually doesn’t cause fever. Is there any loose stool? If it’s a girl, think of urinary infection

@@SridharKs sir We went to many doctors but all of them always give one medicine albendazole . No one tell the main cause of this long term effective disease . My brother is now totally depressed and he is unable to focus on his studies

@@milansingh2045 I would suggest to look into any underlying factors for weight loss. Unlikely to be the worms. Also look into the source of the worms, hygiene and food habits of all concerned. Treat everyone

@@SridharKs it's not unfortunately. Is there some way I can order it online from another country. Our doctors don't write that for regular deworming. My son is infested right now, I've seen the worms. 🤦🏼‍♀️
