I get sucked into KZfaq usually to learn worship songs or just check out new/cool gear, but man is it nice to be reminded that there's purpose behind it that is so much more than cool toys and sweet tones. I have really enjoyed these videos that are spiritually focused. Not that I don't like the guitar nerd content... but this is what I needed today. Blessings to you.

Repentance, scripture reading, prayer, preaching, the administration of the sacraments, and music are all aspects of worship. Too often people say worship and mean music alone. Allowing the word of Christ to dwell richly in His people is the goal of using music in church

True worship is yes repentance, yes adoration and praise but I think Romans 12:1 paints a bigger picture of true worship. We say on our team that worship is a lifestyle. A Living Sacrifice 12 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-this is your true and proper worship.

Yes! I love that, and this passage is so helpful at understanding the word "sacrifice." That's another word that doesn't always "sell" well. The modern church likes to focus on the comfortable parts of our faith. But life isn't like that. That's why we need to reframe this concept of repentance to a biblical view, not what culture would have us feel when we talk about it. To repent is to be that living sacrifice...great point!
