Just got my HX Stomp and it's so much fun, I don't even care about how 'good' it sounds (I guess there are more powerful/better modellers?) but I'm just happy to have something that doesn't have a tonne of input lag (plugins) or a bunch of EMI noise (pedals + CabM) which plagued my previous setups. Just plug in and it sounds good, and it scratches my itch for tweaking and making new sounds. Didn't know you could parallel two amps and pan L/R with a delay off-set - very cool!

Have you ever used a rockboard pedal board? If not, I would love to see a paddleboard build on a rockboard.

Yes! Been using them. Here’s one I did and I’m building my personal board on one as well in my latest videos: HUGE Pedalboard BUILD! HX Stomp XL, Strymon BigSky, Timeline, HX One, Jackson Audio Bloom and MORE! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f6l1gqyVz7PMo30.html

I'm running the golden boy boost side (teal-transparent) into a waza craft BD for main high gain worship tone. It's awesome. I'll also run the same boost setting after either side of my Duellist for other gain options. The golden boy's drive side is great too but I've mostly been surprised at how useful the boost side is by itself.

yeah...that boost is awesome!

Nice roundup, the only gripe I have will every single off the shelf IEM is the stupid round tips provided. The holes in your ears are oval, so getting a proper seal is a nightmare! I have seen oval tips available separately now, but why don't manufacturers supply them? I have had a 3 different noise-cancelling earphones/buds (won't call them IEMs) from Bose, and they all fit perfectly straight from the box. Oval tips to match the shape of your ear, and those 'stay hear' things on top make them comfortable enough to wear literally all day- and I have. Bose stopped making cabled earphones some time ago, and Bluetooth is useless for stage use, so Bose are out of the game they could excel at. Recently bought a pair of custom moulded dual driver IEMs, and while the fit is perfect, the sound quality for the crazy price is just shocking- apart from the reasonable bass, they sound like those crappy earphones you get free with your mobile phone! Will be making a video about them in the not too distant future...

just to give some context on "digital harshness" - the reason why some amp models have an issue with this and some don't is very simple: it's not about the digital part. we're simply never putting our ear right up to the speaker cone and blasting those nasty frequencies straight into our brains. once you start recording anything with a mic, or use IRs and stuff, you're gonna have to deal with these nasty frequencies. a very VERY common mixing thing is giving guitars a high cut, anywhere from 15khz to even 9khz.

The TRS to TS Y cables should work with ToneX because the ToneX is still only seeing a TS cable.

Here is my question, Can I have the "Headphones out" on the HX Stomp be Mono summed while it still outputs separately via the Left and Right Outputs? So I am running both guitar and vocals through the HX stomp, so guitar is on the Left channel and vocals are on the Right, and I want these separate for sending to FOH, but I want to still be able to use the headphones output, ideally without it putting guitar in one ear and vocals in the other.

Can this thing do 5 cable method with the stomp?
@onlyusernameleft23 күн бұрын
the TRS splitter cable I use isn't labelled like yours on the TS ends but they're color coded the same as RCA cables. TRS out polarity can reversed in global settings if the Stomp, the cable, and the outboard gear have a disagreement. You can use those cables to add effects to recorded tracks, or channels in a live setting. If you have a mixing board and there are jacks labelled "insert," those send and return signal using the TRS end. Check your mixer's manual for the insert polarity and connect to the appropriate input/output on your effect processor (and make sure it's set to send and receive line level signal). I've used a Boss GT-1 multieffects unit but the Stomp would work too; just keep in mind with the Stomp, the effects you're working with are mostly models of irl effects units designed for guitar and bass.

5:42 I love your videos thanks for sharing! Do you have chain / flow details for how this is going to/from the HX and dual One’s? I’m looking to free up some DSP (and hopefully blocks) in my HX stomp by putting these on the board. I also have a couple overdrive pedals before the HX stump, and then some additional reverb pedals in the loop. Any tips how to incorporate 2 stereo Ones?
@HeyWorshipLeader3 күн бұрын
The TONEX ONES are just at the end of the chain. These captures take wet effects really well just like traditional amps compared to other modelers

What happens if we connect this handsfree to the mobile phone?
@HeyWorshipLeader4 күн бұрын
If you get the in ear cable with the microphone in it, it tends not to work well with an in ear monitor. The in ear is stereo and is TRS where as the phone connection is TRRS.

The solution for the clipping is awesome and thanks for Bringing this awareness that there is a solution. As for reducing high cut on fizziness, well it works too. But the tone at about 12 to 13mins, it just sound so digital, whether fizzy or not doesn't really matter anymore😂. Digital pedal issue and i probably have to live with it.

Man, there’s so many options on iems any chance you have come across any mid range ($50-$120) standouts for bass players? I’ve been using the kz zs10 on stage for around awhile now and am about due for an upgrade… everytime I start shopping I find something I like but just can’t ever make a decision

In a past life, I was a luxury car audio specialist. Thanks for the video. The tip to start your Hi-cut down in the bass, and bring it up until the music sounds natural, is a great tip. However, I wouldn't stop at 3k2. The sweet-spot will be higher than 3k2. I would continue up past 4k, and anywhere up to 7kHz for guitar. For most listeners, 3k2 is muffled.

Perfect timing on finding this video! So I’ve been playing a Helix for close to 7 years in both my church and my cover band, and I do really like the Helix but have been missing playing through an amp. I started down the rabbit hole of maybe I will get an amp again but keep the Helix. Started doing all the research and talk about option overload! What I am realizing is that I don’t love the Helix drives but actually enjoy the amp models. So I think I’m gonna get an HX stomp and create a small board with a couple of drive pedals. Maybe I need to have you set it up? I’ve found using a Powercab Plus makes a huge difference in giving that amp in the room feel.

Bought all your pads for worship this weekend and super pumped to use them live, they sound awesome! Do you have any pedal recommendations for flipping through pages in an app like Music Stand and ALSO triggering pads in an app like Soundboard Studio Pro all on the same iPad? Have you used the AirTurn analog foot switches? Like the BT500S-4?

I am looking for a Freeze pedal and the Line 6 One has that effect but I caanot find a comparison with the EHX freeze. If it is as good as the EHX I would go for the Line 6 since it has much more effects. Do you have a Freeze pedal to compare it? Thanks
