In this video, Nate Brown covers how to apply the vocal techniques of 1. connection (by singing on a hum and vowels) 2. annunciation (giving clear, loud consonants) and 3. breath support. There are some bonus concepts and techniques in the mix as well.

Nice Nate ! Good points... Thankful for your channel. I'm 65 - and never had any musical background - but always enjoyed singing. Had decided to start learning some hymns. Then a couple of our regular singers were out on Vacation, Holy Spirit prompted me to volunteer. Trusting the Holy Spirit and not myself -- the worship went well - the Holy Spirit clearly "filling in" the rough spots. And it worked out well. Ooooh it was so wonderful to sing my heart out to God that I could just cry. And they pulled me permanently into the team. So trying my best to learn what I can to improve. BUT must still ALWAYs be praying for the Holy Spirit to be there whether I sing or preach. This singing - could even help me when preaching. Anyway -- thankyou, and appreciate what you said about always thinking about Lord and the words as we sing. Amen.

Loving all your videos. I sang at church this morning an bottledbit when it came to singing in harmony so determined now to learn them so that doesnt happen again 😮

Thanks! That's a great goal... just steadily improve on learning the parts. That will also make you feel more at ease on a Sunday because you don't have to "come up" with a harmony part, but you can just sing what you already prepared. 👍

Thank you, Nate. The lesson was so enlightening... glad to know about the 3 Techniques, and with opening my mouth so wide (2 fingers!). WOW! Good exercises, too. You're a great teacher. I do love The Blessing, from Numbers 6. Have a good rest.
