my immediate thought for the Hannibal is that maybe the original plan was to have the bloody one be the chase, because they do that all the time, but figured it would piss people off too much because there's no reason you'd want the bloodless one and it would come off as way to money hungry so they scrapped that idea.

I’ll admit it, I bought the flocked Energizer Bunny. The only reason I did it was because I was gonna get the common one anyway and the flocked one looked cool.

Dunno if this is just a coincidence but when the captain Marvel pops released, my local Tesco only had Vers slightly leaning forwards in the box. Like, none were standing upright.

I don't think that the error of Caps weapons being switched was intentional. I think it was either an honest mistake or they didn't think it would be a big deal. I do think that releasing the second version wasn't some sort of admission of error or correction, it was just a way to make more money.

I think Funko in general, took an extreme step back for me, I bought far less this yr then in years past..

The hellboy makes me sad, it seems clear that they made it weird just to make it seem different from the comic one. The comic one really looks like the movie so in order to make you buy 2 pops they changed the colors to actually look less accurate from the movie

Probably one of the worst Pops in my opinion this year is the original Endgame Thor. He never wears the quantum suit with that hairstyle. I get that Funko was trying to mislead people but it just seemed like a waste of plastic when they made three other Thor Pops.

First, awesome list. Second, that thing of the Blue Otter and Lime made perfect sense in the business point to me. I see it as a product that isn't way too popular that got an exclusive. It's a niche audience that probably would be willing to pay the price or go to the event and try to get their hands on it. This was my argument until I put myself on the other foot. For my DBZ homies, imagine funko drops the 4/5 members of the Ginyu force and then makes Guldo limited to 1000 pcs. Not a popular character but still needed to make the Ginyu force complete. Ah hell naw, you're absolutely right C.P. I really hope funko, sticks to making special versions for those limited pieces instead of the necessary ones to complete the set group. Yikes, I just muted it but the chrome pops are freaking everywhere. Not only that, they are so lazy. I say this because the Lightning McQueen target exclusive pop is said to be Metallic. Yet, I own it and see it has a chrome finish with decals and yes, colors. It is marvelous. Like you said with the colossus. The idea of a chrome finish and that is all is pretty lazy. Now, they want to do the same but with a grain (Wood finish) mark like the captain america. Oh boy. Also, PS, I felt so bad when I saw that video of Noelle. It's crazy to me because each year Funko will have some haves like the Samurai Jack set and then they'll drop something truly depressing like soo many chrome Hulks, Jokers ( which I bought just for the shirt ), and other random chrome Pops ! Funko is killing me with this. The Lion King live action Pops are absolutely terrifying ! Thanks for seeing it from the collectors point of view ! I'm also waiting for the Best of 2019 list.

I bought the bloodless Hannibal one and then a few weeks later I was at a store and saw the bloody one and wasn’t sure if mine had blood until I got home and it was clean, then I went back to get the bloody one and it was gone so now I’m searching for one in the stores near me where I tend to buy them

I liked this list a lot and I agreed. You should make a top 10 worst looking Funko pops of 2019. My girlfriend didn't like that a lot of the ones on the list were mistakes by Funko, but the pop itself is fine (like Energizer Bunny).

The Lion King 2019 pops suck so much and it’s not cause I didn’t like the movie. I like the Teen Titans Go! pops and I don’t like the show. Rafiki looks ok because it looks like how he did in the movie. Timon should have been smaller and Pumba looks like a turd but at least they look like how they were in the movie. Scar and Simba don’t look like how they look in the movie. Simba is the one that pisses me off the most because he looks horrifying, he looks like he wants to eat someone, at least Scar is supposed to be scary. Overall, The Lion King series is probably the worst series this year and also great video👌🏻

i bought the haunted mansion constance pop cause ... she's my favorite. and i'm not gonna lie, while it's a gorgeous pop, i was so disappointed that there was no glow.

I agree with the glow in the dark miss on those haunted mansion joints! It made me only want the glow one straight up, no dinner.

So I bought bloodless Hannibal Lecter because I am a huge fan of horror flicks, and legit about a week later I picked up the bloody one as well. I saw it at the store, and was surprised, I thought they only sold a bloodless one. So yeah, now I have both I guess

Hello, to start off I rather enjoyed your video I too am an collective of funko, I run my local Funatics here in Yakina Wa. Your list was eye opening and most of it I very much agree with. The only two I had an issue would be one, the captain America, mostly because I’m biased lol I love cap and I am in the process of collecting all the caps. So what they put another one out I’m excited for another cap pop. Two, your flocked energizer bunny, if you pay attention to Group forms that they had announced a flocked version long before they released it. It originally was going to be a Gamestop exclusive (was preordersble) through Gamestop for a few weeks. Than just before the release of the standard it was cancelled from Gamestop and online announced to be a funko store exclusive we just didn’t know when. So that one if your heart was content on having any funko collector could know of it coming out.

I completely agree with the chrome one. They over did it this year. It didn’t really make sense, they could’ve like chromeified the stones and gave him/his arm a glow in the dark feature and it would’ve been 10x better

I hate with all my heart the chrome Pop's!, they are lazy, they are expensive and they are too many for one to collect just the same Pop with different color!. On the other hand, i really like the Live Action Lion King's ones, i have bizarre taste on some Pop's 😔👊

They make the chrome pops in that plastic to make the chrome look better. But i agree they made alot that didnt make sense

To be fair, the Vegeta one kinda makes sense. It's sort of representing different forms, the red being Super Saiyan God, the blue being Super Saiyan Blue, etc. That's kind of how I justified it anyway. The rest are just silly. Great video though, really enjoyed!

When Funko first started to make vinyls their My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic ones were top notch. And the prices for many of them now-a-days compared to back then ($25 then to $100+ now depending on figure) show that quality. They were painted well, and most of the parts that were different colors than the base were actually separate parts fused well to the model. I only bought a few POPs in the recent years of only my top faves (and I still have less than 5) because I hated the design of most POPs, they're clearly cheaply made and many times cheaply painted. Like my Frozen II Knok [Frozen] POP has areas where you cen clearly see each leg was separately added on because you can still see a wide gap or some lil bits of seam in other places of the body, whereas the MLP ones were very seamless and ultra smooth.
