There’s this one family I do phone repairs for, one day I quoted them for a screen replacement and decided to go with some other guy that was cheaper. They came back to me with the phone boot looping, the dude that repaired the phones just cut cables and used all the wrong cheap ass parts

Have you tried going to ubreakifix in Montreal? Because trust me, u haven't seen the worst yet. They were replacing my 2 XL screen and battery, but they screw up so hard, the whole motherboard is broken, and my entire data is wiped. They fucked up the screen (like the video, didnt clue in), battery is not in place (literally rattle in the phone), there's a fucking rock in the middle of the screen and the phone stuck there, when they replaced the screen they forgot to take the tape off the selfie camera, they fucked up my speaker somehow, and now im stuck using an A70 as my temporary replacement cuz the 2 xl is long gone. Fuck uBreakIfix.

I once got my old iPad fixed 4 years ago, it was $190 to get it fixed, my sweet grandma paid for it bless her heart, it came back, the power button was broken, half of it was shoved up behind the screen, and the screen was coming off, and who ever did it didnt say anything!!!!

I had a worse screen repair than this a few years ago to a First Gen Motorola MOTO G and half of the screen was popping out and it still works lmao

i just bought a supposedly “mint” iphone xs off ebay that had this exact same thing, someone literally took an x screen, chopped off the mounting hardware and used super strong silicone and super glue to try to secure it down, didn’t work well though since all the corners were popping up, so hard to clean it all off, lots of patience, blood and goo gone later it was back to functional but i honestly don’t understand what kind of hack repair shop does this and gets away with it, somehow i managed to save the face id and the phone actually works properly now

Around 2 years ago my iPhone 6+ screen broke pretty badly and I got it repaired. I got it back and all was fine... till I took off my case. The screen was lifting off and a part of the touch didn’t work anymore. I didn’t get it repaired again afterwards because I was broke and my parents won’t pay for that for me.

I broke the screen on my 7+ when I had it and the place that fixed it fucked up the home button to where it was popping out and would sometimes fall out and they said “oh it does that sometimes after repairs” took it to another place and they said they stripped a bunch of screws and really messed stuff up

This has happened to me before so my family and i were at the flea market and i saw a phone repair stand and i told my dad if i could fix my i phone 5 because the screen kept swiping on its own i had it repaired there each week we went there because after the first day it kept swiping on its own again each time it cost over $90 usd until i went to a ubreakifix store and then it went back to normal.

Years ago, I got my first iPad which was a iPad 2. I broke the screen and my parents took it to get fixed at a repair shop. A few days later I got it back the screen was acting up and the repair guy used fucking masking tape to put the screen back on. I don't have any photos of it but I still remember it in my memory

I had an iphone X come in for a repair once. He had a screen repair done by one of his friends. Sleep/wake button destroyed, charging port flex was torn, missing screws, wireless charger was broken, and the face ID flex was bent every which way. Idk how his friend managed to mess it up that bad. You shouldn't even get to the wireless charger unless you completely remove the battery

My tablet's screen was also popping out slightly, Im planning on buying a case that has a front frame and back cover kinda like those 360 cases i think? Because I dont have the money for a screen replacement or Housing replacement, ( Body is bent slightly, You can only notice it if you lay it down on a flat surface face down.) So far im managing by clipping Charging bricks to the sides

I've had an unfortunately similar experience back when the LG G4 was new and my screen cracked. Immediately the screen was very washed out and dull, the whole touch screen was barely responsive, and after a few days the screen just started to peel back and you can see the cheap adhesive/glue. This was several years ago. For $130 and absolutely no acknowledgement nor compensation when confronted. The worst part? They're still in business last I checked. -_-
