Hi, another issue is sound drop from all devices and build in apps. Nearly every hour for about 20seconds. Waiting for new software from Philips. 2nd issue is some sort of motion blur around moving objects in movies. 6 underground on Netflix in 1:20 plane is disappearing when it's flying above water with sun reflection. On you tube I found video of lambo and skyline gtr that when moving during night spoiler is completely gone from screen. It's really annoying and don't know if it could be fixed by setting up TV different. Philips need video footage of this issue but it's not quite visible on recordings by mobile phone.

I have used this TV for 7 months now. This TV is top class and fast. Android OS makes it better than LG c2.

I personally sell TVs for a living and for me Android TV is the worst TV OS from the big competitors, but it’s a question of personal taste.

I've got to say I really love my new Philips 807, I've also got the 48" model. I'm blown away by the amazing picture, excellent motion handling (well much better than my previous old LG LE5900 Lcd that was 10 years old). Amazing pixel response and low latency. Even 4k youtube videos look so clear that it looks like what's on screen is a portal! So far the only slight bugbear I have is that the youtube app sometimes goes to homescreen when clicking on OK to play a video, only happens once or twice every week or so.

I think the HDMI issues are a side effect of them not making custom parts like LG & Samsung do, but rather buying the (not very good) Mediatech offering, They really shouldn't be allowed to call it HDMI 2.1 if it's not full featured or at least better than it is. it's purposefully misleading. Moving the eArc to another slower port would help and that is technically possible to do. at least then they'd not be wasting one.

Seem to be similar "quirks" with the 936 we have. But more then happy with it over all and we weren't put off by the sales person saying the included soundbar was not very good. We have found that the sound quality and "surround" effect was enough for us and it does provide a very filmic feel but the bottom end is lacking on lower settings (15 and below)

i'm considering this tv currently 65" either the 707 model or 807, i really want the 807 but its £700 more, and the only differences i can find is the 807 has 4 sided lights instead of 3 and its an EX panel, both nice but is it £700 more nice

Surprised you missed the gap in the bottom for the 4th side of Ambilight where the stand goes. Causes an obvious gap in the Ambilight glow, which is not an issue if using the stand but a bit unfortunate when wall mounted. Or maybe it just didn't bother you. Currently saving up for this tv. Well the 65 inch version.

you know sir - great point. Not all assessments of any kind are positive. You have to take the bad with the good. And if you're not totally objective, you'd be biased and just be a 1 trick pony per se in just highlighting the highs and not the lows. Great objective review as always kind sir!

I own the PUS9006 with the same controller and for those comments about it I have to subscribe 😂 Biggest problem about the TV for me is the price, The 55inch is £1400 you can get a C2 for less than £1200.

In my country, it is possible to buy an LG 55G2 for 1,400 Euros, and it's also great when you have a 5-year factory warranty on the panel, and the Sony A95K is very expensive, and the Samsung S95B also has some negatives

How is the gradient handling? For me, on my 48Oled707, which uses the same panel and processor as the 48Oled807 (the oled ex is used from 55 inches and above), it is pretty bad. When entering disney+ for example, i can see the lines between shades of blue, which on my LG Oled B1 i could not see. And it happens in other places too

Yes, also happening on my 65 inch 807, but i get used to it. It's not visible in remux version of movies, but on compressed content from netflix, hbo etc it is visible.

Does anyone have this TV linked with the Philips Fidelio FB1 soundbar? Probably not the best place for me to ask because it’s just soundbar issues I’ve had. For example audio can be great, then it might change to the next episode of something say on Netflix, then suddenly voice audio goes terrible and I can’t hear what people are saying until I reboot the soundbar..

Hello there and thank you very much for this video. I just quickyl skimmed the comments and maybe it has been said already but especially for me as a non-native speaker, it was a little exhausting trying to listen to you talking and tune out you (?) talking on the TV at the same time haha. Maybe get a quieter setting for next time, would surely help me! 👍 I have a question too and hope you reply - I just got this TV yesterday top replace my 10 year old Philips TV and I was a little surprised at how dark it is, especially when watching HDR content on Prime. Do you mind sharing your settings? It looks so vibrant in your video. Also, does your screen have a lot of dimples? I have about 8 or more spots where the glass is a little uneven which gives weird reflections. Thanks in advance and keep up the good work!

This TV is just awful. Freezes. Glitches. Buffering. Has ruined many a TV show for me. I dream of taking it to the dump. Sadly it was expensive so stuck with it for now. I really despise it.

My remote from LG c1 sucks as it don't light up and the magic function is always on the wonk. probably better to sit on though lol edit also I've tuned every tv I've bought in the last 7 years so this is not really a bad point you kinda have to with all of them, same old same old I mean if you wernt doing it with this you'd be doing it with another. I have a question tho as my TV still gets motion blur whitch TV has none or is this just a standard know for a 4k oled tvs?

It is my understanding that a socket with an HDMI 2.1 designation does not mean it will process 4K 120Hz.

Great review again that lump reminds me of the 1st lcd 🖥, , nice to see both points Phillip's have always seemed to have massive remotes on their sets, do you watch gadget show I think you should be on there reviewing tech as I feel they have spoilt the show with this gadget house idea, they need to go back to a studio, all the best and look forward to seeing more honest reviews

I'm right there with you on liking the soap opera effect. I like a smooth image. Unfortunately on my current TV when I enable motion smoothing I see black squares on the screen with fast motion. My last TV was a Philips TV and yes the motion smoothing wasn't the best with it but it was a million times better than the LG TV I have now. I got what I paid for though because my current TV only cost €400 I'm not with you about android TV. I had a Philips TV and I loved the android os. I now have an LG TV and I ABSOLUTELY HATE web os with a passion. It's my second LG TV. My first one was a 2018 TV and I had it for three years. I hated web os back then , I still hate web os now.

There is no Wi-Fi Direct. All Android/Google TV's lack it. Google allows only Chromecast.

Hi. I can tell you a real worst thing that I could not find a solution yet. When I am watching a channel and press the tv guide button to see the all channels guide the sound from tv stops(music of movie sound off). And this is a f annoying as my old tv Toshiba 46tl963 from 2010 , which is still working perfect, got me used to with sound when browsing the tv guide. And I really want this feature because imagine if I am listening music with people in house and want to check if there is any good movie in the tv guide , it goes awkward silence until I found what I need or I just give up for music to continue playing. If you already found or will find a solution please let me know. Regards. My tv is 65oled807.

Your tv image looks like WAYYYYYYYYYYYY too much saturated, and you talk that you spend a lot of time adjusting image.. Well you did poorly i would say, you need to reduce saturation A LOT

Your switch is going to work fine on a normal HDMI 2.0 port (one presumes it has those too) same goes for any other console that isn't a Playstation 5 or an XBox Series console.

I've got the oled 935 and it is an awesome tv the only thing I don't like us the remote control it's to long and to many buttons as for android tv it's the best on the home screen u can customise it to u own taste if u want u can just have the row of apps unlike the bullshit u get with Google tv tizen and Web os and if u want to be bombarded by films etc just scroll across to discover

I think your worst points about this TV are all very valid - Once you notice picture jitter/judder, it's difficult to ignore. I'm very surprised for a non-budget TV in 2023 all 4 HDMI's are not 2.1. The remote looks horrible to me - like it's come from a retro Bang & Olufsen TV! Ill stick with LG

By your self WALL BRACKET FOR TV WITH JOINT !! You will no longer have issue to take hdmi cable.Considering 4K 120Hz well - you wont be able to watch movie in Dolby Vision that is for sure.Smooth picture is better than om LG crap that is for sure ....

Apart from the ambilight which is probably the only reason people buy it, I don't think it's better than Sony LG or Samsung.

It is up to local price… Sony wins hands down, LG or Samsung is the next and Philips after those… but if Philips is cost 500 to 1000 less than LG… it is definitely the way to go. But lical peising very a lot. I did get my 77” Philips over 1000 euros less than LG3… so LG3 did lose by big margin. The difference in picture is so close.

The worst thing is the fucking message that says the tv will turn off in 5 minutes while gaming in gaming mode. I did a system restore just once and that fucking message is appearing randomly and there is no way to turn it off.
