I have a friend who's been married to a narcissist for over 30 years. She has some medical issues. Two years ago she fell because she was having problems breathing. She couldn't move or do anything. While he stood there watching her struggle the neighbor stopped by. If not for the neighbor she wouldn't be alive.

My Ex gave me Covid (long story) then watched me get progressively sicker. He started warning my relatives (creepy, since he never spoke to them before). In two weeks he loosened the cap of ONE water bottle. He only took me to the hospital when I was calling 911 for an ambulance. Later, I told my attorney and she matter-of-factly replied that he was waiting for me to die.

I had a massive stroke after discovering what turned out to be my husband’s 3rd affair. At that time he appeared to be very concerned about me. Now I realise it was all about his image of being a wonderful husband, and his need for me to look after our 3 children (all under the age of 7) He then used the deficits I experienced to ‘help’ me - making him look good again. But it was also invalidating because it was constantly emphasising how little I could manage. It also gave him a huge amount of control over me. The worst part though, was how he used it to cause division between me & my kids. He would drop everything & run to help me whenever I had a medical problem making the kids jealous. He was also causing cognitive dissonance because of the variability of his attention & supposed care. Now that I have left, he doesn’t even pretend to be concerned about me, unless the kids are watching his reaction.

Sometimes good people with Narcissist parents are hardwired to be codependent. The evil Parents groom and train their kids to serve them. They trauma bond them to abandon self love and any self needs to serve them. What happens is they will attract pathological Predators like Narcissist’s like a magnet. What makes it worse is they will attract to them because it’s all they know. They find healthy loving people boring because of lack of drama and manipulation.Very sad.

My sons dad left me for dead on the kitchen floor. I was unconscious. The last thing I remember before blacking out was him telling me I was "fucking him over"& that "this is a very inconvenient time.." cuz the heart issue I was having which I now know was from that relationship...it was inconvenient cuz he was leaving for work (he thrives on how his coworkers view him). Anyway he left for work 45 mins away with me unconscious on the kitchen floor & OUR TWO YEAR OLD SON OUT IN THE FRONT YARD. When I came to, I realized I couldn't see in one eye & couldn't walk (I can now) but anyway I just thought "Killian!" (my son) & I army crawled through the kitchen & living room down three concrete stairs & through my front yard & found my baby on the driveway side of the house...thank God. Thank God. Yes, they would even kill if they can get away with it. They don't care about anyone except themselves and how they look to others. What they WANT is more important than your health or your life. I grew up with a narcissistic, one year older brother, Our parents treated him like the sun set and rose in him. He made my life a torment, he saw the difference in how we were treated and laughed in my face, i thought he was and still is a wicked person; he got real excited to make dogs fight one another to the death and always keeps multiple dogs around him to scream and curse at them. My mom who had terminal cancer called to tell him that our dad had passed and the first thing he said to her was "I'm telling you right now I want his car" I only realized, in the last 5 years that he is without a doubt, a narcissist, he has all the signs 💯%. Eventhough I think I have some residual emotional healing to do; I really want to say that it's makes me shudder, to know of the people who were married to narcs, my heart goes out to all, God bless you with all the strength. I'm 66 now and lived with my brother for only 17 years, it was a living nightmare. Spending 30 years in a marriage with a narc is far worse.

I haven’t watched it yet. I’ll answer this from my experience. My identical twin sister is a covert narc. She doesn’t show vulnerability. She’s a bully. One time I was choking. I thought that it was dire. She didn’t. I put my hands to my throat to signal distress. She didn’t believe me. She had a distrusting, condescending attitude like, you’re not really choking. I pulled a chair out and started to lean on it to do the hiemleck maneuver on myself. I was able to recover. I was mad at her and I asked her why she didn’t help me and she said it was because she could see that I could breath a little bit. I couldn’t really breath a little bit. We’re talking like maybe a pinch of air if that! I was so mad that I told her that if she ever chokes in front of me, I’m going to let her pass out before I help her and she said, I don’t care. They are so mentally ill it’s not even funny. But I guarantee you that if it was a stranger, she would act, in duty, or societal rules just to prove that she is capable. Where does this attitude come from? Ok so, notice how your narc can’t do something for you? You ask them to do a simple flipping thing and they don’t do it for you. You know what I’m talking about. Well maybe the same bizarre attitude applies to your near death. They just can’t see it in their mind to treat you with any respect or dignity even to the point of near death. That’s how screwed up their view if you is! My opinion from my personal experience.

My aha moment of clarity that I knew I needed to get out was after I was in a car accident. Docs told him I could be released from hospital as long as I would be on 100% 24/7 watch for a week because I was at risk of brain bleed and other things. I went into a dark spare bedroom and was so disoriented, I couldn’t move around. I was sleeping 20+ hrs a day. Two full days after I went into that room, 48 hours, he wandered in, woke me up, and casually said, “I was just watching tv and realized I haven’t seen you in a couple of days, thought I should check on you.” This was the same guy who blew a fit if I didn’t always stay in the same room doing the same thing as him every minute of every day. When challenged on it, he said he didn’t hear the doc say that. Another time he said he did check on me. Another time, he said he figured I was fine and was being mean to him anyway. To others, he told a story of how he was a loving, doting husband who was mistreated and unappreciated by me. It’s really messed up. So thankful I left over a year ago and haven’t looked back.

I was dying before we left. The police told me he was about to kill us. But I was starving to death from stomache ulcers from all kinds off weird stuff he was doing, like our toilet had a high pitched noise for a month the finally took him less than an hour to fix. (High pitched noises keep me in a chronic migrain) He didn't fix it until we left one night. Or like taking me shopping for a new table and brought up key situations in public that only I would understand. I saw his eyes change and of course then we got in the car and he growled that we weren't buying any tables that we were going home. We went back with police escort one day while he was not home so i could get some things.. He was storing old letters from my daughter's father (edit) but saying that they were my suicide letters and he was writing about how I was suicidal. Ive since learnedq he'd been slowly telling everybody things that gave them this idea that I was suicidal and very crazy and even abusive and dangerous. He was setting me up.

Categorically YES and will even cause it, if it could look accidental. My ex left me for dead after an accident, I was 16 😢 concussed and vomiting, (he was 27) he THREW me on the bed on my back (not recovery position) and closed the door behind him, I was unconscious, could have choked on my own vomit and emerged about 20 hours later very fragile, he didn't get help or come when I initially woke and shouted for help - he was laughing with his mates downstairs. Also unbelievable cruelty after major surgery. So many examples, yes they will let you die. They are also jealous of their own children, when I saw he would hurt our child I finally left for the last time. Save your innocent children, get far away, fast. Ask God to save you.

My brother in law died a couple of years ago. It was my husband's (soon to be ex) brother and it was very strange. My sister called about his motorcycle saying my husband was interested in buying the motorcycle. His brother was barely in the ground. Also to make it worse our son had asked him if we could go visit and hangout with his uncle. My husband said, "You don't want to hangout with that old man." My husband wouldn't make time for the family, but when they die he is always ready to seek attention to how bad he feels. This is just one of the situations in our relationship. After I had Covid and months later after I spent a week in the hospital with sepsis, he told all of our friends I wasn't that sick. Fast forward 6 months, he's making plans for his death because his "body was shutting down" - he had the flu. Didn't even have a fever. Yet when my fever was 105, I wasn't that sick. Needless to say I knew I shouldn't try to stick it out anymore and left. If I'm going to be on my own anyway might as well just be alone

The short answer is yes. My ex, as a teen, threw his friend in a river, knowing he couldn't swim. He drowned. He didn't tell me about until after we were married and went on a trip to his home state. We ernt to the exact spot. He said it so matter of factly. He thought I was going to die once. He called my mom, screamed at her and told her to come take care of me. He wouldn't do it.

My “ex Narc” now 😂turned Christian… encouraged a mentally disabled kid to jump off the elevator shaft and he died. Then his mother covered it up to the police and they fled the area and moved away. I don’t even have the strength to explain how I figured this Truth out. Now he tries to lie about it and say he fell but I know he pressured/pushed him into jumping the same way he does to me with tormenting force. Prays on ppl with mental disabilities.. think of the movie the bad seed… yep!

I used to tell my ex narc that I could be hanging from a noose in a big wide-open desert with just him and me. And he could be standing right there watching me, and that I would watch him watch me die. When I would say that, he just had a look like he could totally picture it too. I always knew that. And then the final discard. It was all proven out at the final discard. Now I plunder those who attempted to plunder me.

My narcissist ex got me to the unhealthy point in our relationship that i tried to unalive myself and i told him what i was going to do. You know what he said? Go ahead you stupid b*tch! And he walked out of our apartment and slammed the door on my face to go meet up with the girl he was having an affair with! I will never forget the look on his face that day for as long as i live! It was like he was getting off, on the pain and suffering he was causing me! He shattered my heart and he knew it!The worst part was at the time our 3 year old son was at home with me when i did the act and my narcissist ex did not care and left anyway! And this was just a fraction of what he did to me over a total period of 16 years we were together! The worst part was after i did the act and went thru mental health treatment and stayed at a transitional house for a few months he sucked right back in with love bombing, lies, false promises and treated me even worse for another 7 years until i caught him cheating again and finally had enough! I chose ME and left for good! And even after i left he still continued to make my life and my kids lives miserable anyway he could! I was not able to find peace until my kids turned 18 and had their own lives! He just recently tried hoovering me and my kids shut that down instantly!! I had to heal with no closure but that's ok the narcissist taught me how to love myself, have strong boundries, never accept less than i deserve and never to wear my heart on my sleeve because not everyone has your best interest at heart and not everyone wants to see you succeed and be happy but most of all i treasure my 2,wonderful adult kids! As messy, abusive and hurtful this relationship was I found closure by forgiving and focusing on the positives!

Oh yes. I'm an Epileptic with a few different kinds of seizures where he never truly cared or took the time to understand my condition. I had been screwed by the medical system a few times and my life at risk by them (many don't understand amnesia seizures), was he there? He told the world a yes but if they only knew what was really going on behind closed doors 🙄 where the choking took place* when arguing my medical rights to that jerk. It was so bad that if something happened I would have turned in my grave with the disgust on how many people actually fell for his lies! Thank goodness I got away and will always look out for others who are being abused.

It took me about a year after the breakup to realize that he was actually creating situations where his kids might get hurt around me, that he could slip in to save the day or punish me for about not having good parental instincts. At least three cases I know for sure, and I'm confident he used them in a smear campaign behind my back when we broke up. Pretty sure he was also trying to convince his family that I was alcoholic and got frustrated when his dad would mention cocktails I'd never tried before 😅

We all know the answer to this. This video should be 10 seconds long. Everyone who ever knew a narcissist knows the answer. We may often keep questioning the relationship in every way, go back, etc, but the answer to this question here is OBVIOUS. If you ever think about getting back with your narcissist, and have that moment, just ask yourself this question and you will get your answer on what to do.

I feel sorry for wealthy people who lost everything over a narcissist and had been beaten down from success to literally nothing. Then when drained and abused the narc walks away like the 30 years were nothing. Was all about money support and beating down the money person. I know someone like this and it's so sad to see how broken they become and the narc just walked away.

Experienced much of this. Very easy for them to dismiss you unless their image is attached to it which makes them unpredictable. Nonetheless if you value your life and mental health stay clear of them to the extent that you can. They are dangerous and bad news. Heal yourself and find someone who is capable of caring about you naturally. Narcissist are great actors and experts of deception. Love yourself!

Yes, my n-ex showed complete lack of empathy, not only towards me but towards other people too. He has not only not helped me when I've injured myself or been ill, but he also completely ignored other people who were injured and prioritised his own interests. I thought it was weird, and would ask him why he didn't help and he always had an explanation like he couldn't handle the sight of blood, that he was in a hurry for something really important or that he didn't know what to do so did nothing. I was always the person in our relationship who had to care for myself and know what to do in every situation, and also care for him.

Interesting, just before the split ( my discard) I took a fall, broke my glasses, had a cut & a shiner. The narc never even looked at me. He was a RPH, both in healthcare. That incident was just one more nail in his coffin here. It showed me that in my older years he would not be available. We lived in my home, he was put on the deed, I saw him walking away with my yrs of hard work (51 yrs). Made that change in the divorce, papers signed, deed returned in my name. He gave it back, I had so much social media on him had no choice. So much gay porn questionable behavior, metabolic steroids. Narc/addict, relapse, recovery goes on and one. Had to show my therapist screenshots of porn, she’s a court ordered reporter. He’s a bus driver.

Absolutely. I was aware that my death (I had become suicidal. Dysregulated, alcoholic, and financially bleeding out) would benefit him. The sympathy he would get from being a widower from an unhinged, alcoholic partner (I wouldn't marry him, but he insisted on calling me his wife) would be a total win for him. It was like I became a zombie who couldn't make a move without him winning the game. A zero sum game. As sick as this made me over 8 years, I crawled away, learned tons about what had happened to the me I once was after 5 years with no contact, I re-engaged and find myself still playing in the sick game. We are 2k miles apart now, so that helps me hold onto my selfhood, but it's still fkin insane that I am even willing to speak with this loser parasite at all. My mind still wants the fantasy. It's far more addicting than the booze I got sober from 4.5 years ago. I am much more self aware and healthier in my other relationships, but the narc one has been and continues to trip me up.
