Jon great review. Would love to see the video if it gives any benefit to pair to the phone? Personally, I am using the golfpads tags with my Samsung galaxy watch. It has to be paired with my phone to tag the clubs

Jon, I am interested to find out where you got the G5 watch from. Is it a retailer in Sydney? I can't find anyone selling it in Melbourne.

Updated version of this coming out April 4th called the V5. No touch screen but with all the other bells and whistles of the X5 just with the controls of the G5.

Hi Jon, enjoyed the review. How good is the battery? How many rounds from a charge? How long does it last in non-GPS mode?

Good to hear, thanks. I happily wear this watch as a day to day watch, in which case it can go a couple of days between charges. If playing, you'd get 2 rounds back to back out of it but then it would be low. I almost never play twice in a day, so I'd charge between rounds/days anyway (personally). It's very solid at what it does.
