Born 14 days premature. For a horse that is long, very long. She is not yet strong enough to stand up on her own and therefore to nurse. We are doing everything we can to help her.

It is a testament to you and how you are with horses that Gea is coming to you for comfort and support. She is a gentle soul. She is protective but not like the other mares, she knows who she trusts and you are the one she trusts the most. That speaks volumes to me. You are a good soul, Yvonne.

Every time. I get so crazy trying to help from 11:39 here!!! The foal is so tiny and missing muscle tone I just want to crawl through the screen and 12:59 pick her up! I hate for them to struggle so But I know she has many angles taking care of her. Gea is so sweet and lovely and a little confused in her innocence. We pray all continues well .

I don't usually get very emotional at videos but that happy little slurping sound, as Zenna began to nurse by herself, brought tears to my eyes! And what a sweet mother Gea is and how trusting! It looked as if she was going to Yvonne for comfort and reassurance about this new little creature that had come into her life to look after. Well done all!!!

So thankful that Zenna was born in a stable where she had Yvonne & Boss Rein’s long experience! We’ve seen other preemies at Stal G before & they’re doing well today! Zenna is beautiful! Gea is a good milk producer. Zenna figured out nursing very quickly! Human babies and foals do best with a healthy mother’s milk. Hopefully, she will grow & thrive. I REALLY enjoy it when Yvonne gives the history of the horses’ lineage & progeny.

Zenna is a treasure! I was so afraid for this precious baby, but seeing her fight and stand up was a miracle that made all of us cheer for her! 🐴😃👏💖🌸🌹✨ Gea is such a proud and wonderful mother of this miracle of a foal! Beautiful little filly Zenna. She looked so fragile just born, but now she is up and a busy lady. She doesn't look as 'under baked' as other premature foals I've seen, and that is so encouraging. Her tendons will tighten up in a few days, and otherwise she looks stronger and active. All good signs for her future. Congratulations to all those wonderful people who invested so much time, effort, and love into this little miracle. ❤️

That was definitely a bit stressful for the whole team, but it was nice that they managed to do it after all. It's good that Gea, as an inexperienced mother, is so relaxed and not to protective. By the way: Pjirkje is Beant 517's great-aunt. She is a sister of his grandmother.

Zenna is such a cute little precious filly. Gea is a very sweet-delicate dam, very careful not to step on her foal and also not aggressive (overprotective) towards the humans. I am sure that horses understand more than we think that human intervention is imperative. So happy all turned well after all and she's with us, commemorating Senna's legacy to the Stal G and The Herd (KZfaq community). I saw that you've presented us data about Gea's bloodline and the connection to Uniek, which is fantastic to understand how Uniek became so special, and all it's in the genes and hard work from the breeders and the KFPS that monitors and assures genuine development of this wonderful breed of horses. Probably 1936 being the year when the "New age" of Friesian Horses begun, because I've heard stories that at the beginning of the 20th Century this new age started with 3 stallions and the breed was endangered due to industrialization. Thanks Yvonne, I wish you all good health and prosperity! P.S. Big thanks to Boss Rein for filming us and also directing Senna to the milk! I am sure that almost 380K people subscribed to Yvonne's herd, are always keeping the fingers crossed when difficult situations occur, and everybody's with mind and soul for the well being of every human, horse, dog or cat presented on this channel! So Rein, thanks for accepting to let Yvonne show us your property!

Es kommt nicht darauf an, was man hat, p.e. in den Genen, , sondern, was man aus dem macht, was man hat. Nur ein großes Herz, ist nicht hinreichend. Nur kristallklarer Verstand ebenfalls nicht. Zenna looks so fragile, compared with Wûnder for instance. I'm so happy that you were able to show her how to drink and she did understand it just in time. I wish her and Gea all the best! Gea seems so calm and patient and she does not kick to her little foal, while little Zenna is looking for the source of milk. Hard to believe, she didn't had another foal before. The name really is a nice hommage to Senna the dog. Will there be another dog again in Stal G someday?

So much time spent with Gea and her fellow foals after they were born really pays off in ways that can only be seen as time goes by. We hsve watched so many mares and foals get extra attention from Yvonne especially, and are witnessing the fruit in this situation. Beautiful Gea shows much intelligence and trust as she leans on her humans for help. Hopefully she has caught up on her sleep! My babies were all 3 weeks early, and i hardly skipped a beat, but 6 weeks is more serious. Yvonne and Bauke have wethered storms and have learned resilience and become stronger. Papa Rein always plays a major role. Goetzo everyone! Your herd is behind you!

Was a foal manager for a long time. I understand all the risk and a sad percentage of loss that goes alongside the endless joy and excitement of foaling season. It‘s sooo good that the mares of Stal G are trusting the humans so much. So these kinds of situations can be handled without the mem being angry or aggressive 💜

What a wonderful story! She is such a fighter, quickly learning that she had to take the bottle and then nurse. Gea was so calm and trusted everyone who was helping them. I miss Senna and she is such a wonderful animal to give tribute to the beloved dog. Can’t wait to see her join Yvonne, Wimmie and the other girls and watch them grow

Oh my that sure gave me a scare! I knew with team Stal G in charge she would make it. She sure sweet little girl already, not scared at all of people❤ Gea sure is a good Mem, you could tell she knew something wasn't right❤ Such a beautiful, but scary way to enter the world. That little girl is going to be something special🥰

Pheew, that video title gave me almost a heart attack, I'm so glad she's doing well by now. Being born 2 weeks prematurely she's had a rough start, but with your knowledge, quick actions and combined efforts you've helped her through, well done everyone - goed zo!
