1. Classics 2. I'll finish the ones I own 3. I'll bend the corners (I already do) 4. I'll live in my favorite book (that was a really tough one). 5. Cliffhanger. It has already happened to me with Laini Taylor's Dreamdark. I lived. I haven't read a series in years anyway. If Han Kang suddenly started writing bad erotica it would hurt too much. 6. I can't imagine not being able to write. Besides, I don't read fanfiction these days. 7. Never finish a series! 8. I picked Alexandria, for the good of the people and because too many books actually overwhelm me; I spent all of 2023 downsizing my collection to only the most special books 9. So fun! Yes, I'd definitely prefer Belle's library in my home. Apparently I would infinitely rather benefit myself than the entire world. 😆😆 And I don' t know about marking every page.... the dog ear is fine. I agree with most of your answers I think.

The first thing that came to mind for a WYR question was "would you rather have every book you read have deckled edges, or have every book you read be partially annotated" because those are two of my least favorite things 😅

Last year I read the Seven Sisters Series by Lucinda Riley-popular in the UK but less so in the US. It’s based on seven adopted sisters named for the stars in the Pleiades constellation. There are so many questions by the end of the series, and the author sadly passed away before the very last book about the father that would answer those. Her son did finish that 8th book. So, yes it would be very hard not to finish a series!

Thank you for an interesting video! 1. Classics definately. And new releases might one day become classics too) 2. First, not be able to buy new books. Sounds nice to have a goal to read all the current books on the shelves 3. Small mark on the corner, seems as less damage than dog-earing 4. I'd prefer to live in Harry Potter world, and it doesn't matter wheter he hates me or not, I can find my own friends there and just enjoy the world😊 5. Author writing in a genre I don’t like. May be it's a chance for me to start liking this genre? Or yeah, just not read it 6. I'm not into writing any funfiction, so yeah, reading only 7. That’s tricky question. If it means I can't finish any series, then I'll definately choose not be able to reread my favourites. But if I am to choose some series that I won’t finish, then of course, this option. I'll just find one that I don't like. 8. Restore library of Alexandria. I can't imagine taking care of such a library as Belle has)) 9. New project. I prefer my favourite author to make the series final themselves. I'm just a watcher. As for my would you rathers: Would you rather be able to read only books of your favourite genre OR everything except for your favourite genre?

I mostly had the same answers although there were a few I wasn’t sure about. My strongest preferences were to read classics, not new books. And re-reading my favourites. I love re-reading so much (Jane Eyre especially) that I don’t even remember what the alternative was haha

I cant believe you love classics and chose not to save the library of Alexandria, thats sacrilegious! Haha, an infinite amount of classics is the result, has to be the choice there lol. I like classics too much to leave them be. They're classics for a reason With new releases it feels like I'm taking a risk everytime I also love the old prose even if I'm not able to understand it.

Oh i would prefer never read my favorite book again. Ive read it 3 times in 2 years and even though I would miss it a lot, I cannot not read more series when most wonderful series out there touching every point on humans relationships and complexed emotions (malazan, wheel of time, one piece, stormlight archive etc) so I think i prefer never read the portrait of dorian gray again haha
