91-92 was MayDay and Big O (Todd Day, Lee Mayberry, Oliver Miller). Yall thinking about '94-'96 squad with Scotty Thurman, Corey Beck, and the Big Nasty Corliss Williamson. And the Hogs are a basketball school. They consistently put players in the NBA and make The Dance.

The Athletic had a great article talking about how the SEC is pulling in a lot of resources (mostly lots of money) to upgrade their facilities and making sure that is not just Kentucky winning in basketball all the time. Once Florida went back-to-back in 2006-2007, that is when I felt the tide was changing. Go ahead and say all you want about football, they are the unquestioned revenue driver in college sports. I get it. But look also at some of the Olympic style sports that the SEC excels in--gymnastics, volleyball, baseball, softball to name a few. Besides, if you were an Alabama student--I would think of this Final Four appearance as somewhat of a breather from the 24/7/365 coverage of all things Tide football. It is a great story, especially when schools make their first appearance or in the case of Purdue having not made it to this ultimate event since 1980 and NC State since 1983.

Auburn won the football Championship in 2010, lost in champ game in 2013 and went to the Final 4 in 2019 in basketball.

To answer the Kentucky question all they care about is about basketball. Football all they want is a constant bowl team and to beat us Louisville. There’s also a big volleyball fan base

I'd rather be a football school because it's easier to build a good basketball program than football program. Kentucky football will never win a championship but Alabama basketball can.
