Very cool. Growing up in the UK in the sixties I thought the fan stroke was the way all ukuleles were played as George Formby and Tessie O’ Shea were on the television all the time, just fan stroking every song they sang. It is a great way to accompany a song though. 🪕🇬🇧

Thanks. Is it still meant to be in "straight" timing? Like that you get 6 eight notes out of the two fans and the remaining 2 eight notes from the down up?

Yup! All straight eighths and since it’s a DDU pattern you can use it during a split stroke as well. You of course could also do it as an eighth note triplet in place of a thumb roll triple
