I think this car is currently the most fun/ best platform i have use since getting into 1/5 scale and especially the big bore engine side of this great hobby!
The MCD pro MAX rr5 is such a stunning platform to use and work on... I LOVE IT!!!!

great video, had not even considered one, I had assumed they would be too delicate for big bores and very complicated, but the designs of the diff access and as you say the adjustability look fantastic, and if you ran one a year and took that level of beating, that's good enough for me as a recommendation, I have noticed a few hybrids,used, coming on the market and wondered, who, or what mcd was, now I understand the exodus, they look beautifully crafted :)

Great video.. is the kraken vekta5 As reliable as this? Ive had my eye on building a vekta .. but i dont see any modified engines available.

Build a Vekta! You won’t regret it. It’s a right of passage in the rc world! It’s been very reliable for me (however I only run a small bore reedcase). If you look on Detroit Performance’s website you’ll find rcmax packages specifically for the Vekta.

If you build it 100% maybe but in my experience pretty much no big bore car i have used has been as reliable as the mcd. ill b trying the 80cc mcd soon.... so look out for that. that will test reliability to the limit!

Mate! This run is from ages ago! B4 you did the roll bar and body for me. Still have not run it to show it off😭 but got a black wing now so will fit that and then do a proper reveal video when the sun comes out!😎💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼👍👍👍👍👍

Clayton Ewan it can in theory.... with a fair few mods. A friend..( the guy I bought this car off in fact) has a losi 5b setup with a 71cc rcmax I believe. It’s highly modified though!!! What is so appealing and impressive on the mcd so far is that the engine basically drops in ( on a new big bore engine plate to allow the bigger gearing required.) otherwise its body mods... the drive train and car in general seems very stout. I hope to get his losi 5b on film to show u all soon.

Hi bud. It’s a losi 5t Center diff. In fact it’s a losi 5t Center drive line I believe. Shafts / diff and fid ali tower / brakes setup. Modded on to a central custom plate to hold it all and bolted on to the losi dbxl chassis. A lot of work went in to trying to get it to work and have some degree of reliability 👍

Literally the best buggy you can buy but MCD need to drop the price as most people can not afford one that's why you don't see many around as it's built for the race track but there's more bashers which means bigger turnover for MCD if they drop the price
