THEY claim the Mecalac Mc-8 is 2 machines in 1. A skid loader PLUS excavator- Lets see how that works.

The interesting thing about Euro equipment is that its designed for a different space area. I was watching a video about a US designer in the UK & France sharing industry ideas. Space requirements for equipment in Europe is small compared to what we have in the US. Not better - just different. So their designs work differently and we think of them different but - we can benefit from those here. They cant necessarily from ours there. Always interesting to see how someone else does things.

Wow that’s is nuts. Definitely one of a kind. Looks like it would be an amazing finish grading machine, or great mini for excavating in tight areas. Sure is a lot of moving and pivot points on it. Looks well thought out tough. Wonder if it would end up being like a backhoe where it does multiple things but isn’t really great at either of them. Couldn’t really say guess you just have to put it to its paces to find out in the end. Would love to see a video on that swing loader.

The machine arm isnt any good for grading its to heavy for the machine and its the way it’s designed very bouncy once the arm was out nearly impossible to grade! That was with the blade down for stability and it did have an enocon bucket on that was adding a bit of extra weight! I like grading im good at grading and for me its the worst for machine for grading with the arm! Thats not using it in skidsteer mode! Its the best machine i been on apart from this! What the guy didnt tell you was its really good for tight spaces wherever the tracks can fit you can work and spin around with the arm pulled right back behind the cab basically if you have a wall either side of the track nearly touching you could still dig in front spin around and load something behind! @@satunnainenkatselija4478 I’m used to worn out and busted equipment. Even with a worn undercarriage there are ways to keep it on even in rough conditions. Over the years I’ve found it’s much less the brand but the operator pullin sticks.

I'm from France and we had the original mecalac product the MTX who is a crazy versatile equipment, back at the begining of the 2000's the where not stable (the operators had to get used to the machines they all came from driving TLB's) and had a lot of hydraulic and other issues but Mecalac did a crazy job of making their products realy solid and reliable. I have a friend who runs a hard landscapping firm in the same type of jobs than you he got from 3 excavators and 4 skidsteers to a 30klb excavator (15 MWR) 3 MCR (2*8 and 1*10) and gets the same amount or more work done. He lays a lot of pavers, retaining walls and dig pools. Those machine are not cheap but they are like leatherman's but better as they do not just get the job done they offer you a good way to do it and properly. I think if you do a boulder wall with a grapple your operator is going to fell in love with that machine. The only thing is that rubber tracks and mud are really not friends so a classic excavator with standard tracks will remain better.

I'm not sure I buy that. Im guessing it a whole lot cheaper there to build and if those EPA regs are the reason then the equipment still has to meet U.S standards once they are in the country. maybe I am wrong though. I can't confirm any of that- just my opinion.
