It is of GREAT IMPORTANCE to have CO Sensors/Alarms in your Jeanneau 795 NC, it doe's not have ANY installed from factory. I'm still amaze they did not install these Carbon Monoxide Alarms when they built these boats. So if you have a Jeanneau 795 NC or any other Jeanneau power boats, have them installed the Carbon Monoxide Alarms Immediately, this can SAVE a LIFE! Its better to be safe than sorry. YES THEY ARE LOUD I HAVE FITTED ONE IN MY 6 METRE BOAT DOWN LOW INSIDE DEISAL HEATER CABNET IT HASGONE OFF A FEW TIMES NOT FROM HEATER BUT FROM STERNDRIVE CARBON MONO FUMES I AM SO GLAD I HAVE IT THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR LETTING PEOPLE KNOW THE MASSIVE IMPORTANCE THEY WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE WHAT A GREAT VIDIO THANKS SO MUCH STEWY

I too had co alarm go off on my previous boat many times...every cabin cruiser or boat with enclosed areas Must have carbon monoxide detectors. Thanks for sharing your experience. We have a Jeanneau 795 NC and noticed the lack of CO detector. We didn't install a permanent one, but I have a travel CO detector that I took on our second overnight on the boat. At 2am the thing started going off and was detecting over 50-65 ppm and was going up as I was looking at it. Good thing about a portable/travel CO detector (vs permanent) is that you can move it around to find the source of the problem. We found the numbers were highest at the gas stove, which was in the off position at both valves and was not lit. Somehow gases were coming in very slowly and concentrating inside the cabin. We had to completely disconnect the propane and leave all the windows open for a couple of hours to get the CO detector to show zero ppm. I still don't understand how CO would be coming in from an unlit stove, but I later read that a CO detector can detect other chemicals/substances besides carbon monoxide, so it's still somewhat of a mystery. If you don't want to permanently install a CO detector, the travel one works great. I take it with us when we go to BnB's, RVing, boating, or anywhere else. Great PSA!

Yes, a portable co detector is great to have in addition to one's that stay on the boat...this will narrow the possibilities of forgetting to turn them on or forgetting to bring it onboard.
