I always thought those were drain holes in the door ..but yeah I see the can opener slice tear ..

I would be back at the dealership demanding the back steps. The site shows all 4 for $495. The dealer needs to fix that. It is not GMs fault, it is all on the dealership.

Thanks for the update. From what I've seen online the two most common issues are a dead battery and a finicky turn signal. The dead battery is from a bug during software updates but some have reported that's been since fixed.

On Chevrolets site it shows only the 2 come with the option for $495 if you opt for all 4 steps it’s $995! Clearly stated on the Chevrolet site while you build your truck.

Nice trucks, yes. 800 miles on mine no issues ( knock on wood) little gripes..the steps i also received only the 2? Currently back n fourth with dealer. Good friend of mine their believes shouldve been 4. Other gripe is the half ass lighting, nice trucks, nice tech, nice headlamps with a random mix of incandescent bulbs i.e turn, tail, plate, interior lamps. Come on give it the leds or more efficent lighting. I will be checking inside that door for sure tho. Best of luck

Luv the truck. I have a 2023 Colorado ZR2 with 3500 miles in and I have a separation of the lower window cowl by the hood on passenger side. Was delivered that way. Dealer doesn't seem to know how/or can't fix at this time. Probably needs a new piece ordered. Anyone else have this issue? Also, the key fob buttons seems extremely sensitive whether in my pocket or hanging from belt...I seem to inadvertently press buttons to set off alarm or roll all 4 windows down...unknown to me. Quite annoying as I've never had that happen with my 2021 GMC Canyon AT4 key fob. No other issues thus far. I guess I need to check my door jams now and see if I have the same issue as yours. I had a similar issue with aux switches on my ZR2. I ordered the aux switches and when I went to pick up my truck, they said the aux switch is just for the inside of the cab, I'll need a power controller in the engine bay. Going to the "Build my vehicle" page, it doesn't say anything about another power controller that needs to be purchase. The switch was over $400 and the power controller was over $400. I wasn't going to pay over $1000 (with installation) to have 3 additional aux switches when you can get an sPOD wireless controller for around $600 with 8 switches.

Had the exact same issue. When they pulled it out, I refused to take it till they agreed to provide the rear. I showed them the same pictures , and one at another dealer with two, and the same line item on the window sticker.

what u need to do is open up drivers door and look for the rpo sticker (or might be in glove box door) Scan the QR code on that sticker and all your RPO codes will show up. Google what your RPO code for the steps should include, and there you will have concrete proof of what the truck should have. There might be two rpo codes, 1 for 1 step and 1 for 2 steps. I suspect since it was a dealer installed item, they gave u what they had on the shelf, instead of ordering for you what the truck should of had. But your RPO codes is your build sheet. that is what your truck is intended to have. Good luck By the way, a rpo code consists of 3 characters. Letters/numbers combo.

Just hope the you don’t have any transmission problems. I have a brand new ZR2. The transmission started acting up at 550 miles and went into the shop, which didn’t fix the issue. At less than a 1000 miles it started acting up again and is undriveable. It’s been in the shop since the day after Thanksgiving. I’m being told parts won’t even ship till the 20th. I’m sure it’ll be after the first of the year by time I get it back. I made first payment and don’t even have my truck!

I ordered a 2024 ZR2 with the steps on October 24th and they now charge $950 for the steps. Must be for front and rear now.

Same deal with the steps. Dealer gave me a credit and ordered at no charge.

the 2 RPO codes you want to look for is "BZT" and "VZT" From what I am seeing, ZR2 does not come "standard" with steps. Again, scan your sticker QR code that is inside drivers door jam area or inside glove box. See which one of these 2 codes your truck has and google what that code includes.

Prospective ZR2 (or Trail Boss) buyer in December, 2023. Looks like this is new … so recently purchased. Any insights into your purchase deal? What was it relative to MSRP? Thx in advance

What site did you order your steps from?

There is no other option to choose from on the website for the rear steps. Plus, the image adds the 4 steps when you select that option. According to the image you get all 4 steps. Silly they would only add the front and not the rear steps. GM being stupid here, and needs to give everyone that ordered these steps what the image shows. This would easily fall under the category of false advertising.

Dealer tried to pull that crap with me and I made them order and include the rear steps at no charge.
