Amtrak 43, Pennsylvanian: Full Private Observation Car Experience - Part 3: Tyrone to Johnstown

Жыл бұрынRiding on the former Pennsylvania Railroad Pittsburgh Division (now the Norfolk Southern Railroad Pittsburgh Line) from Tyrone, Altoona to Johnstown on the rear of Amtrak 43 Pennsylvanian. Sights include The Famous Horseshoe Curve, Cresson and the West Slope. This video is captured with three GoPro 8 cameras mounted on the railings of a rear open platform, two cameras facing forward (L&R), and one facing backward. The private car is known as New York Central 3 a Pullman car built in 1928 and modernized to run on Amtrak with a top permitted speed of 110 miles an hour. Late October 2022

I've always love these types of views but besides train simulators (which don't do it justice) tis very hard to get. I'm so appreciative of these videos and the wonderful views you have gotten. Thank you so much!

Very clever! Just found these and added them to long cab rides playlist. I'd love to see the same treatment on NYC to DC video you did a few years ago. I also appreciated all the data on stations, other trains, etc. Nicely done!

Super cool vid. Love trains and love the beautiful USA. Ride Amtrak often when visiting family there. An open air obs platform ride like yours is a dream. Greetings from Nairobi!
