Important question: When the ignition key is in the 'ON' position and the engine is not running for a period of time greater than 12 seconds. error code 17 do not will display?

So i did this, it worked…. Heat shrunk it, turned back on. Threw the code…cut it open, somehow popped off. Resoldered again, now its throwing the code still. Any ideas? Anyway to reset the bike somehow? Or do i jus need to order the graves resistor?

I can't remember doing any of that when I did my WR250R exhaust.... I think I just linked two pins together or something.

I just did this too. How did you go about making the thing waterproof? I am considering putting it back inside the plastic housing so the connector seals properly.

I tried this mod and initially it seemed to work, but after a few minutes error 17 reappeared with the engine light on and I haven't been able to fix it. Has anyone perhaps experience this too?

Yep same. Going to try plugging OEM servo back in to see if clears, also have eliminator now but still wont clear. If not, contacted local shop and said they may be able to clear using Yamaha diagnostic

Hey Melbourn...thanks for the tip. One question. Can I yank the EXUP and pull the lines from the pipe and leave the valve in place? In other words, does the valve stay open when the lines are pulled (I'm waiting on a new pipe)

The white flat plug (resistor 7,5k) on which the soldering is done is in the exup device or you need to buy it?
