Where did you mount the ABS precharge pump? I know you're right hand drive, but I don't see the pump on yours and I'm looking for options on where to remount my own.

Omg two hrs to paint, doesn't remove the brake disk, no prep the garage for over spray, no gloves 😂 I I bet that was a huge mess.

Well I did things like put an OS GIKEN M5 diff which isn’t required. Also rebuilt the engine. I’d say 20-35k

What would be a reasonable cost for a shop to do a drive in drive out LS1 with TR6060 swap, suitable diff etc to pass emissions and engineering? Looking into doing an e36 or e39 but am curious as to what would be a reasonable charge for a shop to do the job in your opinion. Cheers

Hey, how much did the engineering part cost? Do they come to your garage to inspect every now and then? Just trying to get an idea on pricing and workflow

Around $1100, I just did the work and took it to him. Then he asked for some rectification, then I brought it back for final sign off. I recommend asking them before the swap what things they recommend. For example he wanted e39 v8 brakes on my car to match a commodores brakes.

Great video 👍 maybe run a lower gear,eg, bigger sprocket on the back, that's a big bike to ride in the hills, bring it to Mildura and ride the desert, you will love it 👍

Hey mate, great work, I have a few questions, I have a shabby E39 still registered and most of the bits to LS1 it, the tail shaft I have and the gearbox mount is for a 6speed manual and I want to use the 4speed Auto,is the spline and length of the gearbox compatible?

How hard is it the remove the paint a few years down the road? Would acetone or paint remover work. Would like to do this but thinking in a few years I would want to go back to the OEM Chrome?

paint stripper or lacquer thinner will eat up rubber, but will take off any paint within minutes

If it’s engineered you just need a rwc. If it’s not engineered you need to ask an engineer what needs to be done to sign it off

Very interesting question… 30-40k BUT, it didn’t have to cost that much. I didn’t need to rebuild the engine I didn’t need to rebuild the m5 diff with a OS GIKEN I didn’t need an 8 pot brake kit (not fitted) I didn’t need a haltech ecu (now fitted) I think if you have that budget brintech customs could do a drive in and out service for maybe an ls1. I think engine the swap could be done for 20k
