About National Geographic:
National Geographic is the world's premium destination for science, exploration, and adventure. Through their world-class scientists, photographers, journalists, and filmmakers, Nat Geo gets you closer to the stories that matter and past the edge of what's possible.
One example is the annual “Round Up,” when the family joins with a group of wranglers to herd their horses to lower elevations for the winter. This exhaustive three-day ritual could be simplified with modern technology, but the practice endures as a testimony to their way of life. In this short film by Kristopher Rey-Talley, join the Kelsey family in Montana as they embark on their yearly trip with the horses through the land they cherish.

Although I like this video very much the title of this video is misleading. These are not wild horses they are Appaloosas that are bred, raised, trained and used for the dudes at the 9 Quarter Circle dude ranch. That is what makes this ranch so intriguing to me is the reliance on the Appaloosa horse and I applaud the ranch for this as the Appaloosa breed has been neglected for quite some time. It is great to see so many of these particular horses in one place. Thank you for the video but consider a name change.

Elias Öhman I think it would be pretty tough to think of oneself as being anything but rather insignificant when surrounded by all the forces of nature and geology, yk? Perhaps Mr. Ohman, there are more commonalities than you yet recognize between you and Kameron despite the overt differences in the circumstances of your respective lives. Best wishes.

Those moments will be known, remembered, breathe'd... •• ~ seimpre ~ •• Decency cost $0.00, Respecting cost $0.00, Pretty great start on a experience lasting a lifetime. It's a nice life style. I have a similar life style. I'm lucky. I also have and love horses. I keep them in as close to a natural wild state as possible. Watching them run and play and graze in a natural state is awesome. Seeing how they actually behave in nature is amazing. I keep the stallion and mares and foals together. After about 3 months of being full time mom's those mares get tired, That's where the stallion comes in. He teaches his babies and plays with them and takes them out for the day, giving the mares a break.
