The other day actually, I was on the train when I saw a person with ticks for the first time. We got off the same stop and waited for the same bus. She was the only one making noise in the semi crowded bus and many people were giving her dirty looks and she looked so embarrassed. I stood next to her and told her that I know what she’s going through and I didn’t leave her side until she got off. She gave me a big smile and thanked me. I felt so happy because I was able to make her feel good and less anxious in a public place where people are quick to judge. Thank you jade because of you, I was able to learn a lot about tourette’s syndrome :) ❤️

I love the subtitles. sound effects and editing in this video, Great job Madeline! You should do a QA video with your mum. Help everyone learn more about this disorder. I love your cooking videos. I felt this way too much lmaoo. I have tics where it sticks to the word I'm trying to say and it's just so difficult to say what I want. It was really bad when I was opening presents lmaoo. I don't have a diagnosis but I'm getting an EEG and Psych evaluation in January!!! I wish you the best I love your videos!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Edit: My EEG is tomorrow, wish me luck! Thank you for all the kind people in the comments it's really comforting 🖤 Another edit: I got diagnosed with Tourettes after realizing I've had tics on and off for 3 years and I'm now getting a bunch of treatment

I love seeing Jade be the wonderful person that she is, but it is also so amazing of her to show just how difficult it is for people with tourettes. As outsiders we laugh along with her as she fins a ray of light in her situation, but for her and her family it must also be so difficult. It requires patience, love and acceptence to get through the simplist tasks which would be a 10 minute job for most of us. Keep strong gal!

My brother is 38 now. He was diagnosed with Tourettes at 5. As he got older his ticks changed and lessened. By 25 he was much better than when he was 18. He used to scream racial slurs in public- that was the hardest to cope with. He would be embarrassed because he isn't that kind of person, but when he saw people he would just blurt out "Hey BLEEEEP" You ugly BLEEEEEP". Your mom has the right attitude! Laughing and patience is the key. 🥰

I felt frustrated for you when your tics kept making it hard for you to actually do the wrapping. I love wrapping presents and find it pretty calming to do, so that tic would've been the hardest to deal with in this video. Hope you were able to find a way to de-stress and calm your tics when you stopped recording
