Salvage crews continued to remove wreckage from the Dali on Saturday while the search for the missing worker following the collapse of the Key Bridge also continued.

He’s using an Oxy-lance they can cut through a foot of steel like a hot knife through butter! I used to use one when I worked at a scrap metal company. Very dangerous but a lot of fun. 😋

Ya those will cut through anything. A copper mill had their pot blow out. We had to use one to cut the copper out of the hole.

Why don’t they hook a cable to it so after it hits the water they can pull it rite out. But know they are going to pay a diver to risk his life going into the water where it a mess of tangled steel beams🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡👎🏼

They have a crane barge with a big grapple attachment. They have been pulling the cut pieces out one by one.

I agree. All of that wreckage needs to come out because many big ships are practically dragging the bottom of that 50 ft deep channel. It seems it would be far easier to rig it to pull out as soon as it drops.

There is a little thing called SAFETY, if there was a line àttached to the cut piece it's gonna be bouncing around everywhere when cut and could hit the basket the workers are in and they probably wouldn't be comfortable with that idea ⚡
