Wrecked 2007 Yamaha R1 Garage Rebuild
I bought the cheapest 2007 Yamaha R1 in the country, so yes it’s not pristine but we’re going to get there.
After looking at the frame, forks, wheels, engine, subframe, fairings, clip ons and so much more I assess the damage on the bike to get that garage rebuild going.
If you guys think about rebuilding a wrecked bike then those videos will help you to see how I rebuild my 2007 Yamaha R1

Wait till you hear about the 08 I got for 100 bucks that had a bad rod bearing. Waiting on crank bearings and then the rebuild begins

@@TristanDurandBuilds was a buddy at work he hadn't ridden it in forever and I kept bugging him like hey let me ride it. He said I would but it don't work so I said give you a hundred and he said sure I was gonna have it stolen but that's easier.

@@TristanDurandBuilds im actually picking up an 08 r1 right now. Won it at an auction too. Always wanted an r1 but just never got into bikes. Can't wait to see how yours turns out.

Your first comment was right though 😅 I wanted to try a rebuild on the cheapest I could find at Copart, but at the end of the day it was too beat for a rebuild and would have ended up as parts on eBay for any other buyer, I did differently but it’s definitely not a money maker What I did didn’t make much financial sense but I learned my lesson and the next projects will definitely show how to actually make money with a few tools and working hands ✌️

@@TristanDurandBuilds I got it off a friend of a friend who wanted to get rid of it as he nearly lost his life in the crash he had on it. So I got very lucky on the price. From your work on your R1 it shows anything is possible greetings from London England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

That bike is a total loss and should be parted out. Saving this bike is not a good investment. As for swingarm I think it was drug under a truck or something.
