Today Im rebuilding My New 2005 Yamaha R1 With full arrow exhaust. It originally had full Carbon Fiber Fairings But I Replaced then with Ebay NT Fairings also fixed the Demon eye Headlights and installed cnc gas cap and cnc levers

Why are you using car oil? The additives in that are going to fry that wet clutch.

Because he aint a clue what he doing that cluch cover was scratched to hell i.replace that and i may aswell do new clutch but hey think someone needs to teach him.what restoration means not fairing swap maybe check out chaseontwowheels

Yo, buddy....... is it a difficult process to buy a bike that needs to be inspected and pass in order to ride on the road? I was thinking about grabbing a 'wrecked' bike that needs work and to be inspected and pass, but tentative to take the plunge because of the paperwork process since I've no patience with that stuff!

I just bought an 05 R1 that’s been sitting for almost 12 years. Only has 4800 miles, but it’s missing some hard ware that holds the tank down and all of the fairing hardware. Where do you recommend buying replacement hardware?

you could also change the screws on that thing and put red screws. its a small detail but would make a lot of difference. Anyhow, still a beauty.

Say hello to a slippery clutch. Car oil is designed for maximum lubrication because they have dry clutches... most bikes use wet clutches and need Zinc and other additives to help the clutch grip.

You have to use JASO rated oil, car oil will ruin your clutch friction plates.

That oil is for high mileage engines read you owners manual is the best idea. Not Mercedes Benz they require European specific. I used mobile 1 in a bike and my clutch started slipping very quickly

@@byronbaker1491 here in europe we use mobie 1 for cars and is recommended by mercedes and for the motorbikes we use motul,yamalube,motorex,shell,etc..The cutch starts slipping whe you use full synthetic oil
