Look at me reply to the other comment, only 3% we’re passing in reading. Other states like California and Maryland have scrapped standardized testing all together because the afro Americans can’t pass. It just is what it is, u can’t even blame that on upbringing or culture because reading at the basic level would be picked up just from living daily life, there’s immigrants who come to America and watch Sesame Street and learn English, reading and writing faster. I went to school with numerous different types of ethnicities, one race gets passed along then they get to college and fail miserably. These conversations get banned from television and academia because people can’t handle the truth, they have to cry racism as an excuse and cop out. Look up skull shapes, look up how they have recessed chins and their teeth stick out forward, everybody knows even the liberals can’t ignore it anymore.

In 1950, in HS, they studied government and logic, the higher mathematics, ancient and medieval history, french, latin, music, and organic chemistry. A broader and more demanding course of study than prevails at most undergrad universities. Those who couldn't hack it went to trade school, then went to work. When i was in 3rd grade you had to know all your math facts, and all the state capitals. You also had to master cursive penmanship. Now, after 70 years of "pedagogical progress" we have THIS as an education system. Can you IMAGINE what our education system will look like 70 years from now? If we're still around, in 2094??

No child left behind is utter bs but so many parents made a big fuss about kids not passing on time. Schools keep getting bigger classes and expect one teacher to educate 30 kids at a time about an ass backwards curiculum. I learned the gosh darn civil war 5 times!
