Reynolds is Vancouver born and bred, that's true. He's also a naturalised US citizen too, so it's not wrong to call him American. Just as it is not wrong to call me Canadian because I am naturalised, though I was born in Wrexham and stood on the Kop as a kid until I emigrated to Canada 30 years ago.

He was born in Canada sure, but he lives in the US, he works in the US, his children are American, his wife is American, and he obtained US citizenship, so it's perfectly acceptable to say he's an American.
