Writing is such a joy, let's bring back that instead of techniques, strategies and theories...

The be bad moment really hit us. That's alot of our problems. We focus to much of fixing things and make slower progress than doing a quick run through of everything and fixing it later. This is an exceptional video and we love it. ❤

Gosh, this is full of golden nuggets. Feels perfectly relevant right now too -- I've been trying to write and have felt so worn down by all the theory and rigid structure. This really brings the fun, creative side of it back to light. It's reigniting my spark :) Incredible video, thank you!

Thank you! Most of my writing in recent times was done for video games, but I'm getting back to literature as well. Here's one of the games that I've worked on as a writer: store.steampowered.com/app/1132980/There_Is_No_Light_Enhanced_Edition/

Any tips on writing short form things? like short films. I find it more complex to conceptualise compared to something longer.
@thebookofive

In my experience it really helps (especially when it comes down to short films) to set up some limitations from the get go. Limit yourself to just three scenes, or one location or just one or two characters (maybe only one of those characters is actually on the screen and the other side is just a voice on the radio or something). Once you have these boundaries in place it becomes much easier to filter out the concepts that are too big for the format and arrive at the idea that will work.

Thank you @@thebookofive , I'll try and take that into consideration when writing short form. I agree that limitations can draw out more creativity and unique ideas overall.
