YES mom guilt is real! Especially when your Little is a baby. I think getting outside of the house definitely helps to switch your focus onto writing and less on getting distracted with all the things you feel like you should be doing. I’m happy to see you’re having fun, getting back to writing! I know I felt like coming back to my story after my son turned a month old!

Using a recorder works pretty well. Ya never know when inspiration will come. That's why I love that every phone is also a recorder. Type it up when you get home. Congrats on the new borne.

Mom guilt is so bad. My son is 3 and still it haunts me anytime I go anywhere without him. Get out when you can though, it's so good for you. 💗

You are amazing. I decided to stop writing for a while after I had my babies, but I had other issues including issues with my publishers, and a new focus on my abstract and kawaii art. Now, I write new fiction in bursts as quickly as I can because my now teens still need me, but I have other projects like making book trailers, and editing. I don't always have time.

I found that kids are great at teaching you how to get things done faster and in less time🤣 Nap time and bedtime are my work hours lol. I am a potter (mug maker) not a writer yet 😊

I have three with one on the way, all under six, and I definitely get the mom guilt when I go off to write. It gets better and kids are great at teaching you how to work more efficiently and faster. :) Glad you got in a good writing session!

Oh no, I had a Saturday driving paper rout and Ember and Nate had their time and I had my alone time. I didn't go back to work till she was 3. I have no mom guilt LOL

Yessss Word for the win!!! 🙌🏻 while I do like the extra “writerly” features Scrivener has, I just can’t write while using it. I just love Word so much? Haha. And yay for a good writing/authoring session! I’ve found that baby usually takes a long morning nap after his early am feeding, which is now my creative time. Granted, that’s not always the case if he takes a really short nap 😂

Yes, it's hard to get away as a mama! But so necessary to be able to focus. Loved this vlog! Inspires me to want to get out and do some writing too. Do you mind sharing your spotify playlist? I'm always on the lookout for new music 💜

It’s a constant stop and go process with kids and a career for me. And yes, the guilt is real, even after 11 years! 😆But…little by little progress is made with the help of persistence.

Major mom guilt all the time and it doesn't go away. I could be with the kids all day, ask the hubby to watch them for an hour while I'm IN THE HOUSE, and I'll still feel bad if either one of them asks for me and I don't go to them. I've found that once naps became consistent and longer than 30-45 minutes, I began to be able to plan writing sprints that wouldn't be interrupted.
