How do you weave exercise into your day, and what do you like to do for your workouts? Do you find it easy to stick to a routine?
I started doing Peloton in December of 2021, when I was seven months pregnant with my second child. Running was out of the question at that point, so we found a Peloton bike on Marketplace and gave it a new home in our sunroom. It was so nice to be able to get in a really challenging cardio workout despite having a big belly! I loved cycling and did it up to a couple of days before giving birth.
With two little ones under foot (ages five and almost two), I've found that having the Peloton around for instant workouts is *gold*. It's difficult to keep up a consistent gym routine when you have really little kids at home, so I do Peloton workouts almost daily. What I like about it is it not only provides the fun cycling workouts -- I especially love the Disney ones -- but also has strength training classes. I have some adjustable dumbbells for those, so I'm all set to do sets! 💪
When I first started working on my book early in the summer, I let my workouts slide. It just seemed impossible to juggle writing a book, maintaining my business, and family life. What I found, though, was that removing exercise from the equation made me feel more stressed rather than less. It's so important to put our health first! I started prioritizing exercise again two months ago and am feeling much more zen.
Tunde Oyeneyin is my favorite all-around instructor. Put on one of her classes, and you KNOW you're going to maximize your time with a killer workout. But there really aren't any instructors I don't love. 🤷♀️
