Leda Velasco , This is a reply to your comment. 1st..if the dog bites you the power of his bite will crush your bone and he will get the nerve that makes your hand function. 2nd..Yes I am running backwards and he is lunging forward so like you said it gives me the essential time to reach for my gun but at the same time the assailant will stop his assault seeing the dog lunge on him and surrender and at that point I can stop the dog immediately and recall him to me. 3rd..what you see in this video is tactical training ( and I see you have no knowledge about tactical training from reading your comment ) If you look at the video I know exactly how far away the assailant is from me and as soon as the dog passes me I already reached for my gun and I turned around immediately to back up my dog like he did with me when he lunged..If the assailant stops his assault I will stop the dog and take him into custody..If the assailant still goes through with his assault with a LETHAL weapon I will respond the same way. I guarantee to you between my German Shepherd ..myself and my .44 and his 15 " friends " ..the only one getting hurt is the bad guy...

I love how easily your dog response to you commands. Swift, effective, on the spot. You don't have to repeat the command or anything. It just obeys and do what it is trained for. That is very good work.

hats off to the trainer,before guns loyal dogs gave their lives to save their loved ones,with guns so part of our society dogs still want to protect,no matter what.every family who have children should invest in a trained guard dog,if doesn't have to be a Shepard,my great aunt was attacked by a coyote with rabies,her poodle(standard size)was trained by her dad to follow her everywhere and defend here,the dog killed the coyote and died from wounds,unfortunately my aunt had been bitten and died from rabies in the late 1920s,but she could have had extreme wounds if not for the courage of that poodle.keep doing the great work u r doing

You are awesome and so are your dogs! I just lost a black and tan Shepherd (pure German blood) had a ball fetish. When I got him at 1 yr his k9's where filed down completely down to his other teeth from the lady I got him from. She let him have a ball all the time and in Florida with the sand and wet ball its like sandpaper to there teeth. He was still very smart and to the end he learned stuff in 10 min. He passed away 2 months ago in my hands. Something happened inside him. Would love to have you train my next one. To have such a young girl able to command a Shepherd like that shows your skills are top notch! My last one was given to me at 1 yr old because he would not respond to her but would listen to me and loved me. Maybe because I had the female he loved lol. At 2 yrs I had him sitting till I told him even if I went in the house. PS I liked you and Subscribed to you and would like to be friends on facebook. Will share pics of my dogs later.

what happens to the rest of the temperament and habits of a dog when they become highly trained guard or protection dogs? Do they become a bit more stoic and on alert in general even when they're not being asked to guard and just hanging around the family or are they still just as playful and affectionate as they would have been otherwise?
