I just bought my first car and it’s a ford f150 I got for cheap from a friend and Ive been religiously watching these videos it helped me get it going n able to drive it i don’t have anyone to teach me and i havnt found anyone that has explained Manuel driving better

Good guy i have troube changing from second gear to third becouse my hand position was wrong. Now i am not gonna do this mistaces anymore becouse you videos very helpful respect and good luck with New drivers.

When gearing up do you let off the gas pedal completely when pressing down the clutch to change gears especially into 3rd or 4th?

Yes all the way off. Even a little bit pressed and you'll hear the engine rev too much while you're changing gear.

If you simply say 1 2 in your head change gear. Then 1 2 whilst lifting the clutch. Think nice smooth continuous action while pressing or releasing the clutch you will be fine. The speed you would talke a step when walking
