Thank you Wrong Way for videos! I have no friends with euc to try and used euc market has few old very low powered models only. So I bought new euc without knowing do I ever learn to ride. Voice in my head told me I am idiot spending 2000 euros for thing that I saw only on internet videos and maybe never use...First hour was total nightmare. I held the fence posts with one hand the whole time and moved wheel foward and back and was clear I never learn. It was impossible to move even one meter without fence. Second hour I was almost same but managed to let hands few seconds off the fence and move 1 or 2 meters. Third hour my body was physically exhausted but I felt is time to try without fence. Put second leg to euc was really scary without fence. Finally after 3 hours and 14.4 km my leg muscles was burning hell but I felt like olympic winner in the end. My goal is to go work 5km and back to home 5km but need more time to practice turning before that. Good luck everyone who learns first steps! It is hard but worth it.

Having taught several dozen people how to ride an EUC, I think there is an important distinction to make regarding the best EUC for learning. Based on my experience, MTen3 is the easiest to learn IF you have someone to assist you: while the low center of gravity and stability on even terrain is great, there is almost no support for calves which makes it extremely difficult to learn how to start and stop on your own. When I assist people with learning on MTen3 it’s going great, but when I gave this EUC to someone to learn on their own, without any assist, they struggled a lot. For those learning on their own, a relatively light wheel like V5F or V8 is better: while it’s not as stable as MTen3 at first, it has enough support for your calves/legs to make it possible for you to start and stop on your own. Also, when transitioning from Mten3 to something like V8, it takes about 10 minutes to get used to a different weight distribution but it’s faster to learn on Mten3 first (if someone can assist you) than to try right away on V8. Of course you need access to several wheels to be able to do it this way :)

I always had these dreams about flying, I’d always run down a mountain as fast as i can and i start to lean forward until my face almost touches the ground and then I’d pick my legs off of the ground and then I’d start gliding everywhere. The euc is like a reoccurring dream come true.

Very good video! I myself taught people to ride the EUC and there are a couple of comments. 1. Straightening the legs helps a lot while the beginner is riding on a flat surface. So there are a lot less wobbling. 2. It is better to use pedals without pins, because it is very difficult to correct the position of the foot at first. 3. If you use a helmet, it should not be heavy. When learning, beginners still try to catch the wheel and bend sharply at the same time. The babischa from the video also demonstrated this at 10:07 even after you said that you don't need to catch the wheel (a common situation). It is not very useful for the neck.

That was helpful. I bought an Inmotion V5 as a starter wheel. I've never seen the smaller wheel that you showed in the video. That probably would have been better for me to start on. I was having difficulty figuring out which was my dominant foot because I'm ambidextrous. So I stopped & thought about how I start on my bicycle & started with my feet the same way as I do on my bike & I started using the opposite hand from how all the videos tell you to do it. It works much better for me this way. I suppose it looks awkward but it has helped my balance immensely. As if learning this wasn't enough, I'm also learning to ride a regular pedal unicycle because it looks like fun. Keep up the good work. 👍☮️🌞🌟

I just got my first wheel today, begode t4. at first I couldnt ride at all I was surprise how much harder it was than I thought, but after less than an hour I can ride around through the grass pretty well.

Excellent video. A caution I have for new riders is that the wheel may spin like a top if it falls over on a failed dismount and can cause injury. It is important to get feet away from the wheel if it falls over.

I still suck at mounting - especially since I don’t ride often. Once I master that, I’ll be solid. And no, I don’t hold anything because that’s a crutch for me. I mount after a few tries eventually. But mounting up an incline on the V11 is something I have to practice.

Now I’m thinking to get one finger crossed 🤞

I got mine last week (v10f) and have done probably 5 hours of practice and I'm solidly getting it down. I never considered using something to hold onto when I learned how to get on it. I feel dumb and probably would have saved a lot of time.

Excellent tutorial, I'm 69 yr male, on sore knee and back is same but i want to do this. Finding the best unicycle that suits my body and location is the challenge. I'm on a cattle station in outback Australia, no paved roads just red dirt tracks, bumpy and occasional rocky tracks.

I used a fence for the first 20-30 minutes because there aren't as many Poles in New Zealand as in Warsaw. Once I had the feel for the balance and was managing to speed up & slow down, then I left the fence and started practising just mounting and balancing. Weighing back and forth between a unicycle and a scooter. Going over comfort, range, speed, storage, winter and rain driving etc. It will replace my car so it needs to be more than a toy that just looks cool. What is your opinion of the 2? So far I feel like this. Pro's for a Scooter * Nice comfy seat at my desired height to drive and relax, not having to worry about leg tension or me sitting a bit to low. I seen people sit on wheels and it doesn't look super comfy. * 2 wheels, more stable and safe during snow and rain for sure. I seen people drive EUC in snow but they are most likely lucky. If my car can slide when in snow at 30 kmh then a 1 wheel definitely can and that makes it super dangerous in slippery weather. * Packing, I can use a bicycle basket in the front and probably some designed box/basket in the back as well for groceries. I can also rest some stuff on the scooters foot rest area on these bigger scooters. * No cut off's so I fly to hell and back so safer going faster. * I feel less protective gear is needed on the scooter whereas on EUC I would need quite a bit and those things cost a lot as well. * Cost is another positive thing, the scooter is like 700-1700$ cheaper. And I am looking at scooter models that go around 80 kmh. Add protective gear needed for a EUC and I can probably buy 2 Scooters for the price of one wheel with protective gear. * A friend can easily come over for a beer or 2 and borrow my scooter home If needed or me taking it to town for a beer then drive it home from that friend. Not something that I would want to do with a EUC so sharing the fun is harder on a EUC if the person doesn't know how to ride. * Driving with a friend on it is possible and could be a life saver in many situations. Not so much on a EUC if you haven't worked on a circus for 20 years riding with a monkey on your shoulders and juggling 7 flaming torches. Cons for Scooter * Not hands-free, so If I do want to ride and film a bit which would be fun it will be harder. Not a big negative but worth mentioning and will change the posibility to do KZfaq/Twitch stuff which I am into as well. * Storage, definitely will be lucrative for thieves so I would like to keep it in my apartment and how fun is that? A wheel is much more nimble to put in a closeth so a big negative for the scooter. * Portability, hard to bring on a bus or train, take into a store etc. Sure can be locked outside but thiefs do like Electric shit so I would feel uncomfortable leaving it for too long unattended. The EUC I would just roll with me easy or put in the shopping cart. * Fun factor, I sure do think scooters are pretty fun but they seem stiffer and not as connected to you like a wheel. So in that regard I guess a wheel win the fun factor aspect and give a sense of freedom. * Range, it seem very unclear how far scooters and wheels go, some scooters say 60-100 km, not sure what most wheels go but I guess they are similar. I just always feel the range seem low still and considering it is measured with a 57 kg asian guy riding on flat ground I guess I would get 40 km out of my scooter weighing around 100 kg but not 100% sure. Definitely something that worry me on both EUC and scooters but maybe a bit more on scooters since range seem so unclear from manufacturers and they love to pull numbers out of their ass. * Uphill from what I seen seem to be a bit more struggle for the Scooters. That do depends on the EUC also of course, I seen them struggle as well so could be tied to the power of these devices in general. EUC Pro's * 2 hands free to videofilm, maybe hold groceries if not too heavy. * Storage space needed for it is good and portability is great. Taking it into stores are easier and so on. * Looks fun, freedom to glide around, more nimble than the bulky Scooter. Still that is where the Pro's kinda end with a EUC. Cons * Expensive as hell considering you can fall off them like 50 times your first months of riding them and even one fall can break them or you if you're unlucky. And then what, just pay another 2800$ for another one? * More protective gear needed which drives cost further. * More dangerous than a Scooter for sure, longer to break. A car might think you are a person walking and miscalculate the distance and so on which ends in a crash. * Bad in snow and rain * Can't be shared so easily, can't give anyone a lift and so on. * No real storage place except your hands and that do seem a bit dangerous. So yeah, the wheel is tempting but looking at it from a practical standpoint it kinda suck. It is cool and for KZfaq content it wins and most likely fun factor. For going shopping or replacing the car with storage room or taking that beer along the beach and then cruise home the scooter is chill as fack.

just wanted to say thanks. I was able to ride the veteran sherman as my first EUC ever with the 2nd try thanks to this video. And I felt comftable in one day of riding.. it's really not that hard.

You should keep your body straight like an ironing board when going straight, don’t bend at the hips. Also look ahead & your body/wheel will follow.

I've been thinking of buying a wheel recently and I came across your channel. I'm enjoying your work, great editing too:) From what I've researched so far, I think I'll wait for the V12. I initially liked the s18 but the quality concerned me plus I think I'm going to need a bit more range. Shame though, I was going to get a white one and an imperial storm trooper suit:(

What i found most important as soon as you go into the public, you should learn how to brake hard and step off you EUC without crashing. After around 80km on mine this turns out to be the hardest part, since you like to ride and not stop, you will neglect your stopping technique.

So different for me with no one remotely into it haha... I free-mount in the middle of a field, losing the wall before I knew you twist to balance... but it's so hard trust-leaning to accelerate and when I go remotely fast on pavement I get serious wobble. I've probably just done like 20m at a time. Running 40psi on a V8F so I'll drop it a bit and I'm sure it'll come fast, but just such a different angle to start lol. I just paced a wet, grassy field a bunch until I figured I could sorta turn and control speed. Everything here is wet grass or gravel covered paved paths right now so it's hard to trust turn traction.

Thank you for the videos Wrong Way I am 52 years old lady from Wisconsin USA and just learned to ride a hoverboard and I love it- it is like meditation, however I want to upgrade to a big one wheel I have one rebuilt knee which I ripped up and had rebuilt 3 of the four ligaments 5 years ago. SO I want to maybe get one of those big wheels with that nice smooth ride and the added suspension thinking it will be better for my joints- what do you think?

Nice rebrand. I sugest medium mode for beginers. Hard on gotway is not "noob" friendly. Other eucs hard mode safe choice.

Hello mate. Watching your videos has made me want to venture into this EUC world and i want to learn now. I don't have any experience on any balance wheels before but determine to learn and i am fast learner. My question is which EUC will recommend I start learning with since i will most definitely scratch it alot. And i am quite a heavy guy. I weigh almost 100kg and i am 6'2ft tall.
