@@gustavohonzofo Canada has made and still is making good firearms. The Ross Rifle was a superb hunting/ sporting rifle that was thrust into a role that it was never designed for. (Initially the M-16’s failed American G.I.’s in Vietnam for very similar reasons: they jammed in the dirt and mud, and the M-16 was designed to be a battle rifle!) Cooey made outstanding rifles and shotguns in Canada for decades, so did C.I.L., and Savage Arms still has a plant in Ontario which is turning out great rifles ( I have a Model 97 .17 HMR which is a tack driver) Colt Canada (formerly Diemaco) builds the C-7 and derivatives for the Canadian Armed Forces in Kitchener, Ontario. (I know those are good rifles; when I served we could shoot 2”- 3” groups at 600 metres all day long, prone position, no bench rest or bipod, using only the standard issue 3.4 power optical sights.) Longbranch Lee Enfields, produced in Canada, are a prized rifle for collectors as well. So show some respect for Canadian-made firearms!

Just buy an AR15 when the Liberals are thrown out. Much better rifles and most of the time you are shooting at a range anyways.

Me too.. As a under-sized person these WK-180 are a bit long for me. The AR-15 felt perfect. The only 223 left for me is the Type 97 :(

They've improved since this v1 I show in the video. My hot take is that even the V1's are MUCH better than the original AR180B. The 180b had a polymer lower that cracked at the hinge point, a polymer forend that wasn't easy to swap out, and you had to add on a scope mount if you wanted a rail. These are better in many ways.

WK180C gets circ 2-2.5 MOA with bulk ammo, I'd expect this to do similarly. Asking for 1MOA is in m view asking a bit much of a rifle designed to be affordable to manufacture in less developed nations.

@@icandothatmatt436 the WK180C and WS-MCR rifles are reproductions of the AR18 which was designed for manufacture in less developed nations.

@@icandothatmatt436 the original purpose (back in the 1960s) of the AR-180 platform was to make it easier for less developed countries to produce. It has a stamped steel upper like the AK rather than the milled upper of the AR-15

Type 97 or the IWI X95, X95 is hard to find. Was looking since September and just ordered one from gotenda a few weeks back, pretty sweet gun so far. Bull pup is weird at first tho lol.

I'm from America, so I might be a bit uninformed on the matter, but are Brownell's BRN-180s not available? They are essentially modernized AR-18s/180s, hence the name. They don't exactly count as AR15s due to their internals and the fact that the lower lacks a buffer tube. If you want a reliable AR15-ish alternative, do those not count?

Both can use other forends. Just need room for the larger gas block, so no tight small handguards.

With a Dremel, JB weld and God, anything is possible. But yeah, you can do an A2 stock and buffer tube if you want.

It'd probably be more reliable/durable for the money, but a T97 is far worse for competitions like 3 gun.

Firing out of battery is unlikely with rotating bolt designs like this. The firing pin is protected by the bottom of the bolt carrier, AND the firing pin won't reach the bolt face unless it's rotated in place. I'll show some pics of the bolt disassembly on huntinggearguy.com

Is the action cocked? You can't put it on safe if the hammer is forward.

@@Huntinggearguy PMags induce a lot of stoppages in mine. Can you look into this? I think it might be a design flaw in the rifle when it can't properly function with the most popular and reliable 556 magazine on the market.

For shooting competitions: yes. For just a bang-around truck/quad/side-by-side gun, the T97 might be a better option.

A component style RRA trigger worked for me. I'd imagine the Geiselle triggers would work too.

@@Huntinggearguy thank you, I have decided to sell the WK and replace with the new gen ws mcr gonna loosen and locktite safety switch, throw in jp reduced power spring set for trigger, add a muzzle brake and change out that retaining pin pretty much can swap over my grips and lpvo or red dot and rock and roll. The extractor spring in these seems to be running ok? The wk one was weak and needed changed in most.

Im wondering if the solid ar 15 retaining pin from tna would be a better option over the roll pin included and a standard ar 15 retaining pin....

You can use 223 in a 556 chamber no problem.

TBD once more people get more rounds downrange. So far, I haven't heard of people having parts breakage issues with the MCR, other than the firing pin retaining pin. The WK180s are known to break charging handles and pistons.

The Hunting Gear Guy I have a WK, so I was afraid that would be the answer. We are runnin out of non-res “black rifles”, especially reliable ones. If all this goes back to normal (gun law-wise) I may just invest in a Xcr. Thanks for the response !

I think it's an ugly gun. I've read so many reports of function issues and part breakage. Why make a concession and spend money on that? Instead put that money and effort into flushing Trudeau. I'm always surprised when Canadians are willing to buy Canadian edition abominations like a Glock 19 with an extended barrel. I won't buy that as a matter of principle.

They didn't use a database, they used emotions, and you show them that gun, all they'll see is an AR missed by a technicality: they'll be asking why you still have an AR.
