I have a 93R17, I forget the other initials, but its got a wood stock and heavy barrel. The bolt is horrible but it's getting better. The "blueing " is more like flat black paint that savage doesn't know how to apply and covered too much of the bolt and inside of the chamber. Nothing that couldn't be fixed with some ring alignment polish and working the bolt back and forth????times. Contrary to most reviews, I don't care for the acutrigger. Other than that I really like the rifle. It's really accurate. Just would have preferred I didn't have to work it over so much. Oh and I also had to bed the receiver to get it as accurate as it is.

Since the overall purpose of any firearm is that it consistently fires a projectile down range and hits its target, and since Mossberg does this as good as any $2000.00 gun, I would suggest you can stop your whining over how 'cheap' this gun is by sending Mossberg an extra $500.00 and then it will automatically be a 'quality' gun, I've had one of these 88's for years and I would put it up against any of your 'quality' guns anytime !!

While on the journey to getting my PAL, I really wanted one of these. During that time there was the upheaval of the OIC bans, and when I finally was able to get one the price had risen by 50%. Of course it's even more expensive now.

If you're a reloader that can't find 8mm brass, you can convert 30-06 brass to 8mm Mauser. Just cut down the 30-06 brass to about 2mm longer than standard 8mm Mauser trim length then size the 30-06 brass to 8mm Mauser sizer die.

I have a KelTec RDB 17 in 5.56x45. The "17" refers to the barrel length of 17.5 inches. I don't run optics on mine only iron sights and have enjoyed it immensely. whenever I go shoot both the RDB and the Windham MPC I have to remind myself that the MPC is an AR-style platform not at all lefty friendly. Excellent video my Canuck cousin.

@@Huntinggearguy what ammo or brand do you recommend for 3 gun shotguns. Not really sure if I should be using slugs or buck. I'm guessing you're using short shells here? I'm counting 7 or 8 shots before reload

@@kbar11 2 3/4" shells in a 3.5" shotgun but read the article I've linked because it goes more in-depth.

Few 3 gun matches allow for buckshot. Typically you're using birdshot, sometimes slugs for longer range shots. Find your nearest 3 gun league and hop onto their Facebook page. Most 3 gun leagues are outlaw, which means their rules may vary so you'll need to find the rules for the league near you.

You have to be patient and careful. Hold the feed ramp at the correct angle to feed slowly snd consistently. Put the first ruund in by hand. I use this for BX25 mags. It's fiddly while you are figuring it out but it loads quickly when you do. This guy was so rushed and forceful that he dented casings and didn't take time to think about what he was doing. I'm going to buy a second loader to use at my cabin. It works for me; and it will work for you if you are deliberate and patient.

Looking for a better loader than the Butler Creek one, it does works but has its own issues. So glad I found this video because the one you’re showing is a POS. In the fact that you may or may not have to handload one round before it works, and the fact that it keeps spitting out extra rounds, what are you action saving.
@antoniohoward85298 күн бұрын
I’ll absolutely never load a gun without a mag loader. I’d rather not shoot than to have to load 200 rounds by hand
