Remembering the Ebey Slough Swing Bridge

Күн бұрынThe Ebey Slough Bridge served Snohomish County, Washington, for 85 years before being replaced in 2012. It was a unique swing bridge design and was one of only four swing bridges left under WSDOT care. Down from 16 in 1944, there are only three swing bridges left at WSDOT now, and the Ebey Slough Bridge was a great example of a bridge type that may not be around on state highways much longer.

over that bridge 2-4 times a day still, befor I-5 This was to me where the city ended and the gateway to the country. destination one of many state campgrounds.. childhood mems. :-)

its too bad that bridge couldn't be saved as a historic land mark traffic could of rerouted by building a by pass bridge
