A new $220 million temple called the Ram Mandir sits at the center of the plan to construct a nearly $4 billion “Hindu Vatican.”

As a KashmirI, we don't want to be Muslim or Hindu. We want freedom and independence. We don't want to be part of India or Pakistan. When India moved a million soldiers into Kashmir in 2019, there were many women and young girls in my village alone who were r@ped by the occupying Indian soldiers. We have heard similar things happening in neighboring villages and towns. it technically is because the Vatican is older than the current temple and its vision. The ancient temple was not the center of Hinduism unlike the current plan for Ayodhya to be the capital of hindusim.

Vatican was apolitical set up with no spiritual significance other than the fact that Christians did not have access to the lands on which Christ lived . This is actually the birthplace of Ram - with a temple which was destroyed and a mosque built to humiliate the locals . You should know history and faith before drawing parallels which make no sense .

Why do all western media conveniently not mention that Supreme Court gave the 2.7 acre disputed land to Hindus to build their temple and the same ruling also gave a prominent 5 acre land to Muslims to build their mosque. Temple main building is done but will take another 2 years to complete. Meanwhile even the mosque in Ayodya called the Mohammad bin Abdullah mosque will complete as well. It will be the biggest mosque in India n will hold the largest Quran in the world. Imam of Mecca will be coming to do the first prayers. If this is not secularism then what is?? Can you imagine a temple or a mosque being built in Vatican holy city or a church or temple being built in the holy city of Mecca?? Only Hindus will accept this because they are just happy that the supreme court gave them the 2.7acre holy site back!

Where is archaeological evidence submitted by Archaeological survey of India in supreme court?? Did u mention about pillars and temple remains found in excavation? Another thing, Temple was funded by public through door to door collection and via online payments from all over India. No Govt money has been invested in it. Despite knowing It was place of temple and mosque was built on demolition of temple... Still we gave Muslims 5 acre of land in same City to built mosque. Ask them are they doing the same in Pakistan, Bangladesh or Afghanistan??

Yet, they don't point out any controversy or unfairness here.However, they don't have the guts to raise any questions about it, knowing well that they could face severe repercussions, including blasphemy accusations, the very next day. It's called freedom of speech, much like how you can associate Vatican for Christianity, Vatican is only for Catholics, the other Christian sects have different central places of worship. You're wrong, but you're free to talk BS. You also have to remember WSJ has liberal western values, us in Asia are generally more conservative, so having religion as part of our culture, and politics, isn't exactly as frowned upon, as it is over in the West.

•First, If Muslim don't follow secular credentials than why Hindu follow secularism ! •Second, During Islamic invasion of India many ancient temples were demolished and built arabic structures (mosque) on razed Hindu sits. Now Hindus are Reclaimed thier land from illegal occupation by legal system (court). •Third, Ayodhya is not Hindu vactican or Muslim makka or madina. Still u can find 170 mosques in Ayodhya & Court give separate land for new mosque construction as well. This is show highly tolerance in Hinduism & ancient Indian spirituality.

1) you should always be the best example yourself rather than looking at others and then lowering yourself to their level 2) The Islamic conquest of India was so long ago. If every country were adjusting their borders or religions based on something that happened 500 years ago the world would be in a constant war. You really need to just let go, deal with history and just leave things as they are, rather than creating problems out of thin air. 3) if there were so much tolerance then there wouldn't be any anti-muslim riots we've seen so many times.
