If you recall, she had to undergo surgery and was even in a coma. It had nothing to do with tennis, she was out of competition and blood-thinners have absolutely no impact on athletic performance whatsoever, not that she was practicing tennis at the time, given that she was ill. - She used prednisone in the spring of 2014 due to an ongoing knee injury, which is a common occurrence on the tour. May I remind you that she lost in the 2nd round of the French Open that year. - The third and final instance of her using a TUE occurred in the spring of 2015 when she had a high fever during the French Open and had to take a decongestant.
