Wow, Brad, I share your disgust with the new "Gibson" amps. To be honest, the innards remind me of the Stage Right amp I did a video on a couple years ago. The difference being that the SR was priced at a very reasonable $100, while the single-ended equivalent Gibson Falcon-5 is FIFTEEN times as expensive. It seems like a bait & switch scheme......lure customers with the Gibson/Mesa name, then sell them a $25 PCB circuit in a $100 cabinet. Style without substance. Viewers should thank you for issuing this warning. Once again.....you're the man (even with that crazy hat) ;)

Who buys such rubbish at this price? That's exactly what's annoying about Gibson...they bug their name into a segment without willing to do it right...because they can. Nice and honest video, thanks!

I mean...to be fair, I can't recall any product, amp or otherwise, being opened up by any of the KZfaqrs referred to in this video. Premier Guitar? Alamo Music? Really? At some point a KZfaqr who is not a retailer, Darryl Braun, Phil McKnight, 60 Cycle Hum, Henning Pauly, etc., is going to open one up for real and unmask it for what it really is. It's also likely they won't use a picture they found on Reddit but show us the actual amp. After which I'm sure you'll be justified in your skewering of the corporate monsters.

I used to like KZfaq videos for the realistic reviews compared to the usual "press" channel reviews. You expect Guitarist or Guitar World magazine type reviews (yes, I am old enough to remember waiting for the monthly Guitarist magazine to drop, in PRINT, no less!!!!) to be paid for and biased as it was their pay packet. But KZfaq used to have reliable real-world reviewers discussing the ins and out of new and old equipment. Now, the main KZfaq channels are as bad, if not worse, than the old magazine reviews as they seem to ALL say the same thing in pretty much the same way. Do these guys get a script from the manufacturer to read? Then there's you, and McKnight who actually do tear downs and say when things are crap. I know sod all about amps and how they work, other than fairy dust and unicorn poop, so I rely on people who do actually know about these things to tell me when something is a pigs ear that has been polished. Thank you Brad for ALWAYS being honest, regardless of the mainstream opinion. You are one of the few channels I trust implicitly. Thanks.

What a disgrace! What is this world coming to? $1799 PCB crap, $1200 Chinese made Jackson guitars, $38 Taylor Swift on cassette, ya know, because the kids and hipsters need cassette tapes now, $229 records because it's on pretty colored or trippy splatter vinyl and it's "special" RSD release that sounds like sterile crap. Please, where are those mythical time machines when you need one? These are the bad times indeed. God Bless you brother Brad, thank you for shedding light in this darkness...

I really love the "hand-wired" on the back panel. Yeah, they plugged the connectors for the pots to the PCB completely by hand! Just...wow. 🙄

My biggest issue is that the amp says "Hand wired." Thats such a stretch.

After watching a couple of demo videos I was quite intrigued. Thank you for pointing this out. For that kind of money, it should be point-to-point wiring for sure. I would rather buy a original 65 Deluxe Reverb for that kind of money.

You're so correct. I watched the KZfaq videos on it and wondered why they didn't look inside. They would turn it then turn it right back. Watch people amp shopping at a retail store or a show. First thing everyone does is turn the amp around and look inside. New amps at the store always sound good. How long will the pcb thing last? Lastly, the cost is crazy. Thanks Brad
