The Balaton Park Circuit is a new track that's been opened in Hungary. And could potentially hold an F1 race in the future if they apply for a Grade 1 license. Would you like to see F1 race here instead of the hungaroring?

Both. The Hungaroring has consistently produced some of the most unpredictable outcomes in F1 history. The new track should definitely be given a go.

Hungaroring produces good racing because of DRS. Before DRS there were boring races. Unless it rained. But I would try stage a race at Balatonring.

This was quite a shock to me when moving to Europe. For me 100 km was a super close distance, we used to travel 400km easily to go to the beach on weekends. But yeah, people in Europe think that 20km is already too far hahah Obviously I'm not judging bc there are many differences, that's just another perspective

Yes, Abu Dhabi most borring turns that killed any possibility for overtaking and make racing there boring. They should rearange them backwards - first hairpin and then chicane.

As a Hungarian I would be excited to see this track being tried but it would need to be explored more before we could switch the Hungarian Grand Prix to this one. I really like the layout though.

Looks like aero packages will really prevail here. So by that standards I feel like RB will have a field day. Fast sections. Turn 1 seems like it will have a lot of fights. If you contest turn 1 on the right, instead of overtaking, you can outbrake and take lead on the second corner at race start.

F1 should really do more every-other-year racetracks. That way you can include more tracks in F1 without making the seasons longer or eliminating current tracks.

That could be done in several countries but I'm not sure if every track owner would agree to having a GP only every two years. Germany, France, Great Britain, Spain, Italy and Japan all have more than one grade 1 track. A rotation like that would also allow some more classic tracks on the calendar.

I have always liked the Hungaroring. I think it gets overlooked a lot, but it's a classic circuit that should stay on the calendar.

Whole circiut is made of parts of other circuits. 8,9,10,11 are Abu Dhabi, 5,6,7 Miami, 12,13,14,15 are Sotchi, 1,2,3,4 are hard to find, but I deffinitelly saw them somewhere. Kinda extreme version of Spain? Maybe little of Shangai in it?. So this is mostly taken from worst circuits that exist. Together not looking bad actually. Except 8,9,10 that should be reversed - first hairpin and then chicane.

If your counting all of USA. Europe is 746 million. And they are more into F1 then the Americas are. They too are able to travel freely.

I highly doubt Balaton would replace Hungaroring someday. The new Balaton circuit looks decently flowing, but overall, Hungaroring is a better fit for Hungarian GP hosting purposes.

Looks to me like another Frankenstein track: -T1 to T4 is a mirrored, smaller and skewed version of Zolder's T1 to T4 -T5 to T7 is a carbon copy of Miami's T1 to T3 (which itself was a mirrored version of Interlagos Senna S+Curva do Sol) -T8 to T10 is a carbon copy of Abu Dhabi's old T5 to T7 -T13 to T16 is a mirrrored, smaller version of Losail's T12 to T15

Maybe when a race is cancelled early in the year, let's say April or March even, this could be a replacement (If Grade 1 approved). Maybe even name it the European Grand Prix!

Add a couple corners after that hairpin and it’s definitely a really good track. It can stay as it is now, but it will never be better than the Hungaroring maybe you could alternate between the two each year

For Some Reason All my Eyes could pick up is that it starts like Hungaroring (T1 T2) Transitions a Little to Suzuka (T2 to T4) and Enters Silverstone (T4 to T9) goes to Jeddah (T9 to T13) and Ends like Imola (T13 to Finish Line). I Enjoy Those circuits on the F1 Game. Idk if its explains why I Imeediatly picked up on them, idk if its only me :D

Hungarian here, as I read reliable news in this topic, the F1 race in Hungary will be preserved to be host at the Hungaroring. Even if the Balaton Park Curciut gets a FIA 1 licence, no F1 race will happen there in the near future. Unless, we get a second Hungarian Grand Prix, which is unlikely if you think about only in the USA we have 3 races, Miami joined last year and Vegas this year.

Why move Hungary? It’s one of the few races left with exciting finishes. Most races are hot lapping on parking lot circuits.

Honestly for me this would be a great track for the F1 calendar. I don’t like the hungaroring that much but it is still a nice high downforce track and I like watching the races there.

Is this designed by tilke? It has so many of his common elements -- zigzag first corners, long straights seperated by heavy braking zones, mid speed esses in sector2, turns 8-10 are the same as i think its 4-6 abu dabhi old layout, 14-15 is tightening radius with multiple apexes. It just screams herman tilke

I hate romantic history that is too short and needs a new place, F1 was originally designed for expensive entertainment, they take everywhere and require racing in the middle of nowhere, Can F1 fans who are too romantic about the race venues that have piled up schedules reduce the romanticism of history by dividing the schedule by circuit as much as 2-1-1 2 (Ordinary and long like Hungaroring or seroang), 1 (New circuit with 5 races contract with 360 days gap) and 1 (for stupid romance that actually accumulates schedules) in 20 matches

I would rather F1 race in the Hungaroring Parking Lot B than the Hungaroring. Overtakes make a race, and the undercut is so big that you have to let your teammate pass you with 3 laps to go and give up a win.
