The packhorse is used for the long distance mining. Instead of them having to go back to the Town Hall they just return it to the packhorse. Cuts down on time.

he observed it. but then.... for someone who says he likes to find ways to exploit maps it constantly amazes me how he fails to comprehend basic mechanics in custom maps. incredibly frustrating to watch sometimes.

Damn, what a well done map. Lots of attention to detail and polished, could have been a Blizzard map. Almost had a Age of Empires feel; or Starcraft with the much bigger focus on economy. Edit: lol, and just as I post my comment, WTii says it's like AoE2 :D

Probably, detection towers and some units that deal increased damage to them (preferably while being tanky).

Dude... there is no mode, this is just a custom map created by someone, you just need to download it and just play it like a normal custom map.
