Director: Godfrey Ho Jeung-Keung
Cast: Eagle Han Ying, Mike Wong Lung, Carrie Lee Ying Ying, Steve Mak Fei Hung, Kei Ho Chiu, Kuen Yat Chu.
During the Ching Dynasty, a Buddhist priest named Hung must take a journey to spread the word of Buddha. He takes the holy Scriptures along on his journey to southern China. During Hung's trip one of Dai-kiang's henchmen (Wah-sang), attacks him and steals the sacred documents. Luckily Priest Hung is able to escape from the attackers and meets a fellow northerner, Huang, who swears to aid the holy man. Hung and Huang return to the temple to regroup, where Huang is taught the deadly technique called, Magic Kicks! Armed with this new fighting style Huang embarks on a mission to retrieve the documents. He'll need more then just skill to take on Dai-kiangs army of misfits, but will he find the help he needs?

I remember when my elder brother took me to the cinema to watch it. I was young, very young but l didn't sleep though they closed late in the night. The next day, I managed to narate it to my friends who couldn't get the chance to enter. Wu Tang Collection, I appreciate your effort. Godfrey Ho movies are gold. This is the funniest kung fu movie I have seen but its too serious to say its a comedy flick. The captains are dressed ridiculous, the man in red at the beginning, the temple fight where the main character slaps the disciples around, then the monk uses swear words,the man flying through the brick wall at the restaurant - and this is 20mins in. Thanks Wu tang channel. Take me as your student.

I recommend "The Kung Fu Odd Couple" (搏命單刀奪命搶) starring Sammo Hung. It's full of comedy moments and, still, the fighting scenes are beautiful.

Omfg!!!! Ive been looking for thus movie for decades! This was my Absolute favorite Old Skool Kung fu film growing up. From the music to the comedy to the sound wffects and and badass fight sceans. The characters and even story were just the BEST. Im sooooo happy ive found it. Lol im about to ware this movie out like i did as a kid.

Wow ! 1.5m views for an Asia Asso film and no Hwang Jang Lee to boot. Description is certainly thorough on this one. Plenty of commenters pleased with happy ending. Side dish info: Lots of monk fighting and in droves. Chin (Carrie) has big restaurant fight and brings it outside to Huang. Chung the daughter of Dai Kiang causes many problems for Huang. He has dealings with 2nd daughter Dan Dan also. Noodle will be an opponent because of her. 59 minute mark enter (Eagle Han). After Huang re coop's he faces many obstacles to get to those books. Much more action than just this. Many commenters pleased with comedy, music, and sound effects too. (Mike Wong) has himself quite a movie here impressing his audience.

I used to watch those same Saturday afternoon Kung Fu movie shows in Los Angeles County. At 11 am there was Kung Fu Theater. Then at 2 pm Black Belt Theatre would air. I would go outside and practice the moves and techniques I saw. I was 22 then. At 62 I kick over my head, punch metal and stucco, and do one handed cartwheels. I run twice a day wearing flip flops.......I am still in love with CHINESE KUNG FU .

I love Kang Fu movies but never understand why the Abbott is never able to be a great fighter and always seem to get kill or damage to the point of helplessness .

Because, by the time a man becomes abbot, he is grown old. No amount of training can compensate for work related injuries of the sort that life long fighters endure. An old monk is also an old man. He might be the toughest old man around, but a younger man can usually either overpower him, or outlast him.

@@WildBillCox13 bro that no excuse as a Abbott is the highest position his body and training should make him able to withstand certain hits .he should be able to keep up his chi anyway the movies are made in that way to let the other guy be in the position to fight the villain..
